Obviously I went and measured them all buddy

I am not your buddy and obviously any discussion is impossible with some people on here.

Very impossible on a complete waste of Internet space as this article is
Imagine thinking a player won't make it because they are to small

Hasn't he heard of Galv?

I didn realise Messi played at centre half. I thought he was a forward but I suppose you are the expert.
Here's a few CBs 6ft and under who I'd say made it okay
Cannavaro
Puyol
Danny Blind
Gallas
Toure
Carvalho
Bruce
CCV is 6ft 1 anyway not exactly short.

So the same as Keown, Carragher, Vidic who also didn't do to badly
For the record going back to the article.
Deli Alli and Wimmer are both 6ft 2"
Carter Vickers is 6ft 1"
As the op was judging Camerons height against Wimmer and Alli maybe he should also look at the other photos on the official site where Harry Kane is dwarfing over all of our players by a good 6 inches or so. -

CCV is 6"1. He is fantastically athletic and has a great leap on him.
No need to worry about height these days mate, i understand what your saying but it is whats known as a 90's view.
For the record CCVs dad is a famous basketball player so i am sure he will grow further in the next 18 months.
While I agreed being massive isn't as big a deal as it used to be, good - but sub 6ft - CBs are the exception in the English game. 6'2 seems to be about average
I've always liked the thought of Davies at centre back in our system, but he is just 5'11. Our system differs slightly because of the protection given by Dier.
There are still exceptionally good I'm.the air, and physical strikers in this league. Carroll and Giroud for two. Ade. Deeney is a bully. Bony, Rooney. Off the top of my head. A centre back needs to be pretty robust.
Anyhow, this lad appears to be 6'1 anyway, so it's moot.

I'm only 5'9 and play centre back for my Sunday team.
I'm rubbish though 👍🏼

Why is everyone having a pop at the OP, he just stated his opinion on a forum, we're all Tottenham at the end of the day

Sadly this is what this forum has turned in to. If they do not agree with the comments then they resort to vitriol and abuse. As you can see from the replies some are sensible and argue the point well but the majority appear to have been written by nurdy teenagers.

OP,
If you remember, Pochettino was interested in signing Matio Musacchio from Villareal a couple of summers ago.
Poch wanted him and if I recall he was a shortarse at 5ft 9" I think so I don't think that will be a deciding / negative factor in Poch's eyes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was also a good post earlier about centre backs under 6 foot that has made me change my mind.
I'm so glad we never signed Massuchio. A 5'9 South American centre back wouldn't fill me with any confidence I'm afraid
Personally I would not sign a centre back that is under 6ft that is unproven in the English game - your point is perfectly valid.
We can all point to rare cases where the exception applies, but these are generally going to be top players whose talent outweighs their lack of height.
I am not saying ccv will not make it in football, my original point was that maybe centre back is not going to be his best position. We will have to wait and see.
Gillies
Why won't CCV make it as a cb? The guy is 6ft 1, i just don't know why you thought he was short by looking at a photo. On that same photo it shows Harry Kane with his back turned and he is a good 6 inches taller than the other players. It was just a weirdly taken photo with some players standing upright and some with their legs bent.
CCV is VERY highly rated at Spurs. Pochetinno let Fazio go without replacing him in Jan knowing he had full confidence in the youngster.
CCV is strong as a bull, has great physique, pace and is very cool on the ball he hardly gets flustered and as i already pointed out he is damn good in the air. He has been a star in all age groups at Spurs and is playing for the USA u23's already.
Mark my words if he stays injury free and shows the right attitude CCV is going to be a top CB.
And i will say it one last time CCV is 6ft1 The same height as Alderweireld !!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't realise he was American.
