And harking back to a time when I posted alot more than I do now is quite revealing. It answers the question of why you can't resist having a dig at me constantly - you hated the fact I created so many articles on here which is where your pettyness all began.

Get over yourself !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But you're the one who keeps bringing it up? Why? Unless you're enjoying the boring back and forth exchanges that have been going on for 2 years.

Dunge - agree to an extent but the direction this board takes is the responsibility of everyone contributing to it. You can either bury your head in the sand or if enough fellow posters tell arro to wind it in, I believe he will

I actually missed that line. Not surprised but I don't mind.

What's your opinion as a LCFC fan on Arro's judgement of your teams spirit?

posted on 25/2/16

Alan Smith said special and Matt Elliot said unique, then it kind of indicates that it's something over and above the norm.

But Arro come on these are 2 players who can only speak for their own experience and Matt Elliot is hardly some world class footballer.

How can they say anything as absolute fact when they've never kicked a ball outside the uK?

You're missing the point and I really can't be bothered to waste anymore time!

I will never consider a team full of stars winning stuff as having a better team spirit because they can just be professional and be top class and win everything. If our team spirit wasn't as special as it is then we would not be top, simple as that!

Its a great team spirit and one of the reasons that we are doing so well. But Barcelona currently have a superb team spirt you can see MSN are very close not just on the pitch but off it.

The Arsenal invicibles had a superb team spirit, I think its special but by no means unique

Totally agree it is special something I've said repeatedly but Arro seems to think it's totally unique.

Barca and Arsenals invincibles were full of world class playerd and should be winning leagues, we shouldn't!

It appears I'm the only person that actually understands the difference, you're comparing apples with oranges!! I give up

Yes it is unique and I couldn't give a rats what anyone says because managers DO NOT EVER say their biggest strength is team spirit! EVER!!

Could not disagree more, if you look at Madrid and Barcelona at the moment both are chocked full of world class stars who are ultra professional.

The key difference is Barca play as a team with a clear style, unity and work ethic where they defend and attack as a unit. You can see the way the front three link up, how the defence pushes up as a unit and how the midfield work so well with one another.

Madrid on the other hand often look like a team of individuals where the players just try lots of different things and hope they work. Sometimes that pays dividends and they have won some trophies to prove that.

But since 2008 and Pep the key difference between the two clubs is the coherance of one team based on shared goals and ideas which includes having a superb team spirit and the other based on individuals where team spirit clearly isn't good and has seen the dressing room split multiple times.

Sorry Arro but the best teams, the teams who outperform expectations like Leicester are at the moment usually have this superb spirit, ours is great but not unique

That's very dismissive of any team with top players winning something.

You can clearly see to be the very best you have to have that bond and spirit, the vast majority of top sides have that and coupled with the quality it makes them the very best.

Why do you keep ignoring my statement about CR or Matt Elliot not being the epicenter of football, and assume that just cause these people say it it has to define team spirit across the entire football world?

I'm not missing your point that your team spirit has got you where you are, I agree with you, I'm simply pointing out the flaws in your reasoning that LCFC have a team spirit like no other.

"It’s all about team spirit," said Sir Alex.

"In a match, I only need eight of my players to be on top form. If the other three aren’t up to it, it’s not serious. The other eight do the work for them.

"There have only been six matches where I’ve had all 11 players perform at their very best. It’s like swallows. They always fly together in a group, in a V formation, and those at the front do the majority of the work. And they alternate regularly

Team spirit is the key to Primera Liga leaders Barcelona's success, coach Pep Guardiola said as his side prepare to host seventh-placed Deportivo Coruna on Saturday.

"This (team) spirit is the only thing we cannot lose," the former Spain and Barca player told a news conference after the Cup match at the Nou Camp.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says building team spirit is key to his success.

Ferguson has helped United to dominate English football and claims his success is down to creating a mentality that is geared more towards the collective effort than individual reward.

He said: "It's all about team spirit.

But no manager has ever ever said anything about team spirit right?

Arro google any top manager and 'team spirit' and you will see so so many of them mention it as all important all the time

Nobody at this club ever wins a thing without their team-mates.

Well i disagree because that team spirit at Barca is built from winning, they don't have it tough and don't need to dig in, it's easy for them so who knows how they would be if they lost Messi, Suarez and Neymar and struggled, I bet you wouldn't see as much unity then and that's the difference for me!

Good but not special and Madrid are just like many others, like Chelsea.
