Possible Impact of Tonights Result...

Good article mate, and my feelings exactly. Spurs need to get back to winning ways tonight. Just going for the league is ridiculous. Spurs have a seriously hard run in, so I still don`t give them any more than a 30 per cent chance. At least still being involved in a cup competition keeps the season bubbling along. Europa League is a good competition as well, cannot see the point really of wanting to compete in European competitions, and then not taking them seriously.

oh yes and the teams left in the Europa league are a doddle

Our run in is no harder than arsenals

I'd be gutted if we just surrendered our place in the Europa. Winning breeds a winning mentality. That being said, a little tweaking of minor rotation (Alli out, Kane recovering) should be done and hopefully it'll still be a positive result for us tonight.

We must take it seriously tonight and I'm confident we will.
Im sure we can cope with 2 competitions for the rest of the season, I'm desperate for Spurs to win a trophy and if we could win the Europa it will be a fantastic achievement. Winning breeds confidence and the last thing we want is to lose 2 games in a row, which we haven't done all season.
Win tonight and we are through to the next round and we will have our confidence back for the Swansea game

we can all accept that winning either competition will be tough, for us as well as our rivals, but winning breeds confidence and i think the longer we are in the europa the better. the worst thing that could happen is we lose tonight, then lose to arsenal , suddenly we will be looking over our shoulder at united and with some of our more experienced players out atm it could potentially lead to a collapse. i know its all theoretical but while we are winning games the players will remain fearless

We have bounced back well from defeats this season and I expect us to win tonight. Better to go into the Swansea game on the back end of a victory rather than 2 cup exits.

Spurs are down to the two competitions, there's no reason why the two can't be of equal priority.

The Thursday/Sunday matches should make no difference, winning breeds winning.

it shouldn't be, but it is ! year after year after year.

cannot be argued against... we played last Thursday, look what happened on sunday.

lost at home to palace (bottom of the form table), meanwhile we were top of the form table.

happens too often to be a coincidence.

now whether right or wrong, it shouldn't be ignored

Being a home game there's no reason not to go full strength imo

Lloris
Trippier Toby Wimmer Davies
Dier Mason
Son Eriksen Lamela
Chadli

If any spurs fan wants to go out tonight then you can f*** off because your not a real spurs fan. There is no guarantee that we will win this league say we get knocked out the Europa. Yes it might make things a little easier but are we going to be adopting this same attitude next season if we make the CL? I couldn't give a s** if it's Wednesday night or Thursday. The same principle applies and the CL teams do it year in year out. Yes I understand the Europa league is a long drawn out competition but it's not much difference if we were in the CL next season. So we going to sacrifice that to? We are out of every cup competition bar Europa. If we were in all 4 then you can have an argument for playing a reserve side but currently we are in just 1. Let's just bloody go for it ffs!!! League and Europa.

Don

Fortunately, I think Poch will play his strongest team available tonight, and rightly so.
