Spurs are down to the two competitions, there's no reason why the two can't be of equal priority.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Completely agree
Have to go out strong to win every game left this season.
That doesn't mean we can't rotate, of course we will need to, but we need to make sure that this promising season ends with something decent.
Once you get to this stage of the Europa it is worth being in because:
1. there are some big exciting ties to be played;
2. you've already played 7-8 games in it already, all wasted effort if we tamely go out;
3. Its a trophy and a way into the UCL.
Poch cannot moan about it. He said he was happy with his squad back in January and he knew we had a load more Europa games to come. If he thought it would be an issue he should have made some buys.
I agree. Last season we lost 2 cup competitions in a week. Europa and carling cup final. Everyone was saying let's rest players for the final and look where that got us? There is no guarantee we will win this league so let's just go all out for the Europa cup. We are close to qualifying for the CL already via the league so anything else is a massive bonus.

We didn't really rest players for the final in the end though.
I'm a bit gutted about the FA cup because I would rather be in that than the Europa, Poch got his rotation wrong but lets not go there
Saying that I agree with Don, qualification for CL looks good through league position so go all out to win all our remaining game cause anything else is a bonus. Therefore getting as far as possible in Europe will be good and our young players can experience games against some of Europe's strongest sides

So how do arrive at this conclusion Phenom?
We dominated against Palace, hit the post 3 times & could have been 3 up by half time.
Palace have one shot on target & they score......................................we were then chasing the game & that is always difficult when the opposition park the bus for the rest of the game.
The loss had nothing whatsoever to do with rotation & nore to do with our failure to convert numerous chances!

At times you have to look at a performance and say it wasn't reflected in the result. We were due some bad luck after the pen at City and Alli not getting a red in Italy. I fully hope and expect as to bounce back from the Palace defeat as we have done all season after set backs.
mate we dominate every game like that now most of the time, about being clinical and decisive in the final third, hence why Trippier's crossing could have been useful in that game as opposed to Walker's 40 yard pop shots knocking out a poor child in row Z.
Palace had lots of dangerous counters that would have been avoided if we had a proper DM playing as well for example...all adds up matey
I am not anti-rotation I just feel some players are suited to certain games to get an extra advantage and are not sometimes used. Also moving Dier to CB after he plays DM all season doesn't do it for me I'm afraid
We need to win tonight, if only for the sake of next doors cat. Should we have a spursy night I can foresee a cat with an arseole shaped exactly like a size 11 boot.
The Phenom
I must admit leaving Toby out, and then moving Dier back was not a good move by Poch. He basically wanted to rest one player, but moved an important player from his position of all season to accommodate, thus really negating two positions with just one change.

Poch out.........next manager please. Applicants require just 1 thing. Perfection.
I'm fussed, I want to go through as I'm sure the players do. Whats the point of having a motto of 'To Dare is to Do' then timidly say meh, lets not dare tonight?

No point in travelling to some of the armpits of Europe like Quarabag in the earlier rounds only to kick it into touch when it starts getting interesting.

alright mate jesussss, poch is a legend but we all make mistakes. I can understand him wanting Toby to have a rest but I suppose that's where more CB cover could have been useful, recall Fazio anyone?

Dier had a solid game at the back v Palace.
If the aim was to give Toby a rest - he has played more football than anyone - then the alternative would have been to throw Cameron Carter-Vickers in for his first minutes, alongside a relative newbie in Wimmer, or put Davies at centre back.
Who is to say Adebayor and Wickham wouldn't have had more joy against either pair, despite having better protection from midfield?
Truth is, Palace were very fortunate to go in 1-0 up at the break. Very fortunate.
We ended up looking a bit ragged as we chased an equaliser and space opened up. A lot of that had to do with us having Eriksen and Alli in the middle later on, both of who bombed on and left Bentaleb on his Jacks
