Kroenke has the control and has to make an offer for the remaining shares I believe.
But as this isn't really an issue.....unless the released funds are for a purchase of Everton

Kroenke doesn't have to do anything under the new rules. His aggressive buying ground to a halt as soon as the changes were made.
In regard to Everton, Moshiri's already liquidated his stake in Arsenal for about £300million.
Wasn't aware of the new rules to be fair.
I hope that he is investigated/looked into as the Blue Union did with the Americans and concerns are aired. I doubt that as he has Billions....not Millions like the Yanks
The rules are a little cloak and dagger to be honest. The initial rumour was that Usmanov had bought Everton himself. He's since made a statement to deny this. And besides, the rules state that you can't significantly invest in another club while still holding more than 10% of another.
Moshiri will probably front a consortium when making a bid for Everton. He'll promise the world and then sit back and wait for dividends.

Did you mean that the other way around?
Apparently he has a personal fortune of £1.3 billion and he is meant to be buying Everton (no idea if this is true)
All the old rules said were that once you got 30% you have to offer to buy all remaining shares. Kronke is unlikely to sell so it would have madeittle difference. It was an obligation on the buyer, not existing share holders who were entirely within their rights to say they didnt want to sell. Otherwise Kronke would have bought Usmanovs shares once he hit 30%.

Maybe I missed a comma? Like I said, he has Billions, not Millions like the Yanks. However as an Arsenal fan pointed out above, he is just in it for the money??

My bad sorry I misread what you typed ( I blame my hangover).
Suppose who ever buys us will be in it for the money. Hopefully they can help us become more successful and win some silverware and then they have earned their money.
BREAKING: The Club is to have a new major shareholder in Farhad Moshiri who brings the promise of new investment. More to follow. #EFC
Never say never. With Kroenke investing $1 Billion in LA and leaving S Khan to move Jaguars to London, I think he may just sell. Maybe not immediately but I don't see what an English 'soccer' club will add to his very American portfolio.

Hope you don't repeat our mistake and consolidate all the power with one person.
Our shares used to be spread out across the board members, meaning they couldn't vote each other out. Some had owned the club across 3 generations of family.
Current league rules put voting decisions at 50%, leaving Kroenke with an absolute dictatorship at 67%.
None of our current board members holds any shares. This means that they're only there at Kroenke's mercy as virtual puppets.

Selective quoting by someone who freely admits to doubting Usmanov's intentions?
Seems so.

Fair enough.
Remember him wumming the fans with a rights issue, knowing fully well that Kroenke would laugh it out of the room?
Then going on record saying that he's never had any contact with the Americans?
I would rather us be Russian, than Yank. Lets hope Usmanov's stake keeps getting fatter!
Hey Usmanov. Just buy the club already why don't ya !!!
I know it's not how the world works but the fans/supporters association should always be the majority share holders.
Also, it seems foolhardy to want Usmanov when we really don't need a sugar daddy with a vested interest... we just need to remove the parasites and be run using the money we generate.

But where do we start? The board is basically made up of Uncle Stan, Josh and 4 employees, to give it a shred of authenticity.
We're facked if Friar decides to call it in.

It would take a rule change similar to the 50+1 rule in Germany I guess. Like I said it isn't realistic and isn't how the world works (certainly isn't how the Premier League money market works anyway).
I just see people wanting someone like Usmanov as stemming from desperation. We don't need him. We just really don't need Silent Stan either.
