Spurs fans classed Leicester draw yesterday as bottling it, so yes, a loss tonight will be bottling it big time, and I am sure you will get stick for it as well.

No I Am Not

Leicester were playing a game last night at home against a side they were supposed to sweep aside with ease. Spurs are playing on the ground of a team who view playing Spurs as absolutely their cup final and always their biggest game of the season, so completely different scenario. Losing to West Ham will not be bottling it.

The way all you Spurs fans are hyping Spurs it seems to me Spurs should be sweeping aside West Ham.

Arsenal or Leicester dropping points is deemed bottling it, but a different rule for Spurs? Please.

Welcome to the title race Spurs fans, drop points and you're going to be laughed at and called bottlers.

Tis the way it goes, you did it last night with Leicester

Getting the excuses in early....

But how would it be classed as bottling it if we are still in the title hunt? We can still win it even without 3 points tonight.

So Leicester and Arsenal did not bottle it last night and Sunday respectively?

Tonight is Spurs chance to go top of the PL for the first time this season. Or are you going to let that chance pass you by? Bottle it so to speak

I think you need to take into consideration the teams being palyed.

Leicester at home to WBA
Spurs away to WHU

two completely different kettles of fish.

You can call it bottling it tonight if we don't win, West Ham away is probably one of the hardest away fixtures in the league.

Leicester didn't bottle it, they hammered the baggies but as we know, sometimes football doesn't follow the plan. Spam want to derail our season but actually that isn't within their means this time round. We will still wake up joint 2nd on points in the league tomorrow assuming arsenal win. Just makes the next game even more interesting.

I want a win tonight simple as , I think the term bottling it could be used when we blew are 10 point gap over Arsenal.
Liverpool vs Palace 3-0 up and draw bottle job.

I really think this use of the phrase "bottle it" is just soooooooooooooooooo childish. Did Leicester bottle it yesterday ? NO they had a tricky game as WBA are always a tough nut to crack. Spurs away to WH who havent lose at home for a while, not getting 3 points would not be a big shock so no sigh of "bottle".
Have Villa been "bottling it" all season ? No they're just awful.
Just because a team fails to win a winnable game all the muppetts come crawling out of the woodwork saying someone has "bottled it". Upsets happen
If anyone has "bottled it" lately you would have to say Arsenal waving the white flag v man Utd reserves, who they should have taken apart on paper.

Nope, both are average Premier League teams

Always difficult when a team sets up to defend for 90 minutes and play some sort of 7-2-1 formation.

Spurs and Leicester are two different kettles of fish. One club has only been in the PL for the past 2 seasons working on a smaller budget.

Works both ways and evens out over all.

So yes, if you're at the top and you drop points, people are going to say youre bottling it. Arsenal got the title because they're world class at it and never really do anything anymore, which is great to watch

So can Leicester. So surely they didn't bottle it either.

I agree, also I think its too early to be using the term. Every team at this stage is realistically, still going to drop points. It's when it comes down to the last 2 or 3 games when things are settled and you see who cracks under pressure.

Classic bottle job would be only needing to beat Villa away to clinch the title and loosing.

Id happily go along with if anyone drops points it's not bottling it.. except arsenal, theyll always be bottlers

Didn't your lot draw away to Villa to lose your CL spot with was it a couple of games to go.

posted on 2/3/16

Posh yeah , that was when we bottled our 10 point lead over Arsenal I said earlier that was a bottle job , in all fairness Villa want a bad side then .

Are we that low? Haven't looked at the league table in ages no point.

And clearly my above post went over your head Sandy I'm not actually saying anything like Spurs are / will bottle it, but the word "bottle" has been all over your board for a few days now.

That's all, lean back in the chair there and relax.
