GENIUS

Gotta come down on the side of genius. The super hoops have a super player and their super season starts on the 12th.

Genius? On what grounds? A few recycled quotes? Or his footballing ability?

Tortured soul is what they say, for people like this who has poorly managed their lives.

Pratt or Genius? Unfortunately for Barton he barrels from one to the other like a drunk crashing from wall to wall.

Very talented player, no doubt about that, and if he'd made the best of it would likely play for one of the big teams and be a regular in the england squad. But he will forever pay the price for his past behaviour on that front (rightly so and given my way there'd be certain others joining him on that bench).

If he can keep himself on the side of angels then he'll be a massive addition to QPR. Sadly past patterns would suggest that its only a matter of time before the proverbial hits the fan once more and the same arguments against him are wheeled out.

Just an outsiders view, but if he walks in and assumes the role of guvnor, you know you have a weak squad, if it takes him a good few weeks, and he does it by example, you know you've backed a winner.

For me, a good player with a nasty streak in him, and if someone like SAF had gotten hold of him when he was a tenager, he could have been another Keane

not as good as he thinks he is, but still far better than his replacements at newcastle
