Some sort of development must be in the pipeline. The land directly behind the east stand has a big sign on it saying sale agreed.
Or a case of putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably a new Netto opening up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
World respected news outlet the Onion reported that there's a Lidl opening there, sellers of quality German foods. They expect to run of sales to Robert Huth alone with the tons of food he puts away daily.
Is all this retrenchment on the back of the 2-2 draw with Albion?
Arro also mentioned an indoor ice hockey stadium as part of the development. Maybe that's where the cold feet have come from.
On a serious note, and this won't happen to Leicester, I'm sure, Wolverhampton Wanderers famously built a shiny new stand at Molineux, part of the club's plans to have a 50,000 capacity stadium. Unfortunately, events on the pitch meant that 15,000 souls were watching Wolves play League One football next to 18,000 empty seats.
ARROOO??? ANSWER ME!!! I WANT MY 42000 SEATS....!!
You promised
I share a lot of the concerns raised about the possibility of playing in front of rows of empty seats. Has anyone seen Villa Park recently!?
There's a club that shows you're never that far away from incompetent mismanagement and ruin, however good our current owners may be. I'd rather we invested in securing a top quality squad so we can be challenging for Europe every year to be honest.
If we are to expand, why not be cautious and just take the capacity up to 35,000? That's what the Ricoh holds and it's the same flat-pack design as ours, so shouldn't be too difficult to do surely...
KB is straight from the club, he's Operations Director and he's telling my old man, who in turn is telling me and I'm telling everyone else!
Why would he lie about it if it wasn't happening? Why would he be telling my old man that plans were out before the Watford game? Why would he tell my old man that the final plot of land had been bought? Why would he have told him they went to see the land last week and that they plan to build a fans village? Seriously why?
Just because it hasn't been announced yet doesnt mean it's not happening

I did try to tell Arro that it is almost unheard of for any business to do anything remotely related to building something before getting planning permission, which they haven't, but did he listen?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never said anything would start without planning permission in terms of building but things are happening behind the scenes. I don't know when planning permmission will be submitted and I don't know when it will be completed but I know it's happening, otherwise my old man is being lied to by an LCFC director and I just can't see that myself.

My old man is Head of Matchday Security, he's basically responsible for all the stewards and he's good friends with KB and he has been giving him updates so he's either lied, which I won't believe because the idea is just ridiculous, or its happening and I favour the latter!!

There's clearly a lot of preparation that needs to go in before an announcement can be made but things are certainly being prepared, like buying the final plot of land which they went to see last week.

So, will you have a 42,000 seater stadium "at the start of.next season or not"?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not for the start of the season but that has never been suggested, the implication was that it would likely be ready for fhe CL campaign but that's speculation. All KB told my dad was "sooner rather than later" and "it's happening". He told my dad because it will affect him because he'll now be responsible for an extra
I'm just talking to my dad now and there was a meeting with all board members at Kilworth House on Wednesday, to discuss the extension and a new training ground site. They have two sites that they are considering and are expected to choose one and "get something signed off".
I think people need to keep quiet about things they know nothing about 👍

You categorically said that at the start of next season you'd have a 42,000 seater stadium.

I don't care when it will be ready, it's happening! End of!!

But the Onion clearly reported that the site is being used for a Lidl. How do you explain that?

Indicates that expansion difficult as someone skimped on the foundations - may all be hot air of course.
'work would start as soon as Leicester reached 40 points'
...that was the story going round on here.
Can never understand why any of you try to communicate with Arro, complete pri1ck and pathological liar. What's the point ?

Why do you have such a problem with the FACT we're getting an extension? Is it because we'll have a bigger stadium and you arrogant priicks can't hack it?
When we reached 40 points they decided is was going ahead and since then it's pure speculation as to when it would be announced and be ready but that isn't impoetant, it's fooking happening so get over your pathetic little tirade
