if it was Casemiro + Carrasco + Bellerin for Matic + X = X i think id be losing out twice for not all that big a gain given how big a player Casemiro is for Real Madrid so id need a 4th part of the deal where i improve

i mean it doesnt help that his leg is broken but prior to that starting him changed their fortunes and got them to a CL final and his leg break coincided with a very poor run of results, gives them the balance.

improves RB and LW with two top players, Kante a loss obviously but two gains for one loss and getting a Real Madrid starter seems a good offer to me

That much. Don't really think Matic is as good as what you are making out tbh. When he's put under pressure, he really is uncomfortable and you've got Bender as cover anyway.

Mahrez Oscar Carrasco is a lot stronger than having Silva in there but no one that is going to have an impact on games at LW, teams will easily just negate Silva's influence by crowding him out and forcing you out towards a player that won't do anything to them

Still missing the point though having a very capable attacking mid and a very capable LW is obviously going to be more effective than having a world class AM and a rubbish LW, far easier to stop one player than it is to stop two.

Rakitic is a far better player than Matic and i don't really see Silva as much of a gain these days, he's not having as big an impact as used to so id definitely not do that

No worries I think the difference between Elneny and Matic is a lot smaller than the other 3 though, and keeping Xhaka out the side for Arsenal at times so doing well enough.
