If she was in front of you, how was the rear bumper damaged?
I'll forward this on to another poster who may be able to advise
Her car was facing the opposite way from the direction she was travelling and her front bumper was hanging off on one side, my only thoughts are that as my car passed hers, as I was trying to get out of the way, that her bumper has sprung back round and caught my back bumper, at no time has direct line asked for the pictures or diagrams of final car positions, I've since sent the pictures to them, which they say they haven't seen but are still going on the sayso of the assessor.
As it was at night I never even noticed the damage to the rear apart from the two eye rope plastic insert on the bumper was hanging out. I've asked for the phone call conversations to be sent via email but they've not sent any of them out yet either!
Oh by the way, the majority of the damage to my car was front passenger side....

Who works in insurance then?
Haha, it was quite an impact, I asked why she didn't just brake? She said she didn't know????? I actually think she panicked and hit the accelerator instead of the brake, I thought all was well as I had a witness, there was a guy waiting at the same junction as her waiting to turn left into the inside lane of the carriageway I was on but it's all went t1ts up since, just can't believe the assessor could make that call without having all the details???
Were Police present at any time?
I am glad you and everyone involved are safe and well.
My Q prob not or you would have mentioned Follow.
Insurance companies are a nightmare.. they'll do everything possible to avoid paying out. Just went and ordered a dash cam last week to try and cover myself in the future after some squaddie knocked my wing mirror off last month.
Was raging, even more so when he didn't stop and I had to chase after and catch him.. only for some 6ft something Fijian man mountain to step out the drivers side. That calmed me down quick enough
Police arrived 30 mins after, they only came as I ended up in the opposing lane and it's quite a busy road, her car was drivable unbelievably but my front wheel wouldn't turn, the police still made me reverse it off the road. Got breathalysed and had to make a statement but as there was no injuries they left.

She told the police she never saw me??? But never admitted liability, she works at a garage across the road from where it happened and a lot of her colleagues came over to 'assist'. I got the incident number from the police and give this to the insurers.
My main issue with them is that the assessor never had all the details and still made the call he made!

Develop neck and back pain, that'll pay for your bumper. Play the Insurance company at their own game.

It was the insurer I gave the police details to.....the assessor has said he works on the information given but how could he when it wasn't fully known, the insurance company has f***ed up in my eyes but are going on the assessors word and won't backtrack, I just don't want to pay for the rear damage and claim it back as it might take months, I'm not sure??
Playing the stress card does seem interesting haha, to be honest I just want my car to be 'as good' as it was before the accident.......I think this one will run and run, I'm phoning them again tomorrow for those phone conversation recordings as I'm positive I mentioned the bumper insert hanging off.
Follow,
If it was me,and the Insurance Company wouldn't pay for the damage they'd pay for personal injury. You should never be out a penny when it's blatantly not your fault.
Cheers DG, if it comes to it then I'll be going all out for everything, the 5cumbag insurers are quick enough to take your money!

Try you havent been able to sleep at night, since th accident.
Get down to your Dr, put yer best acting on, get a note from him and a prescription, use it as leverage against the Insurance Company.
