Azusa, you have no idea who told me about Butler and Fergie.
I assume you know differently.

Oh and I wonder whether you are still laughing about my post about us possibly falling into a relegation battle.

Stewart started against Barnsley, and was poor by all accounts (got subbed). Not his fault really because he isn't a wing back. Like quite a few of Fergie's selections. He does seem to play people out of their best/preferred positions.

Pirate but y re sign him if yr not going to play him.
Spend the dosh on a good pro centre back..
Its time to cut loose.pooh or bust. 2 wide players 4 4 2 and get the ball in the ball in the box.

Lanza, signing players isn't an exact science. Some players are signed for their potential, but they end up disappointing. Stewart can best be regarded at the moment as a squad player, an impact player (especially free kicks) but maybe a bit of a luxury in a relegation battle. He's certainly not equipped for the defensive part of the wing-back role.
I'd also see us like to try proper wide players, not wing backs, but I'd only play 1 up front (Tyson) in order to try to stop the opposition running the midfield.

Pirate at the moment the cast of the magic roundabout would bypass our midfield.
We need to attack teams and make them fear us.
Its 2 easy for the opposition

I think we need to have more control of the midfield in order to create pressure on the opposition,
Fergie is generally committed to attack, but often at the expense of midfield. We often seem to have a wing back who contributes very little. The opposition find it too easy to pass or run through us and get at our fragile defence.

The highlights show that there seem to be few players putting in the effort and energy required to properly confront opponents and challenge for the ball in defence.

It is as though they think that if they position themselves between the attackers and the goal that is enough.

There was no chasing the ball or effective tackling the opponents. Simply occupying empty defensive "zones" watching the ball and just being between attackers and the goal without even getting close enough to stand in their way suggests they have lost confidence in their ability to successfully challenge for the ball.

Two or three of theirs were unmarked for their first goal as several of our defence just watched the ball sail over them and there were even more spectating defenders closely witnessing the cross from the left going over their heads to be met by Proctor for his second.

In contrast, Tyson had 4 or 5 of their defence in close attendance to contend with when scoring.

So az, you don't know differently about the Butler/ Fergie thing but just choose to contradict what i have written?

Donaldo thats a perfect summary of the Scunthorpe debacle

No Hound I'm just choosing not to state on a social media type site how who what where and when. Enough people/players get in hot water as it is.

Lol.
FFS that IS a laugh.
I could write that about why Mourinho got sacked and claim to know something about it.

Think what you like. I forgot you're the voice of reason know everything, the workings of what's going on inside and outside of the club and what ever anyone else says is just balls! Should of known better to even respond to you!

posted on 14/3/16

I have never made claims to know everything about what goes on inside the club but I do hear things from two people who do know SOME things that happen.

I have noticed though that you won't respond to questions asked of you when you have posted something that has turned out differently to what you had expected.

The DFP are running a poll "Will Doncaster Rovers SURVIVE the drop?"

Mindful of the current standard of English amongst even those who write for a living, I suppose we have to live with what is probably just a sloppy use of the language.

However if we were to take it literally I would be shocked that the local newspaper could display such a total loss of faith in the club's continued existence in the event of relegation.

In any case, the author, the Editor and sub-editors should be referred to dictionary definitions of "escape" and "survive".

Knowing how good you are with the English language Donaldo, should it not be the DFP is running as it is singular.

Just being pedantic. I notice that the Rovers media always says" as opposed to" the club is".

Good point NY. The Daily Mail is an "it" to me, probably because I have no time for its opinions, but perhaps in thinking of the DFP I see individuals and I have in mind that Paul Goodwin is also there and he writes and talks a good deal of sense. So that's what makes them a "They" in my mind, even though it may be grammatically incorrect.
