Lukaku.

Leeds fan in peace. Lukaku has always been a world level youngster/wonderkid. Barring his near miss with the Russian lot, he has consistently been in the running for golden boot. At 22 he is performing in a tough league like it is nothing to him.

Bear in mind he wont peak for another 3 yrs (on average), its frightening to think what kind of monster he will be.

I'm still unconvinced my Martinez, one good game won't save a season of failure.
If we win a cup and our league form improves then I might change my mind.
4 league wins at home since April is simply unacceptable

I'm with you. I said before this game, if we lost against Chelsea then he should go,this win has bought him some breathing space, but if our league form doesn't improve I still think we should get shut.

Absolutely agree with you alas, our squad should not be lower half of the table

I have wanted him gone since about Christmas 2014, but I still want us to win every game we play.

Fine margins between being a hit and a flop.

I bet nobody wanted him out that first year......

Now they are a bit happier.

I always ask who, who would you want to come in? Saying he isn't good enough is one thing. But the replacement is something that never gets discussed.

And the next era in who uses Wigan as an example, compare the budgets of the team he took down to the rest.

He will be given money and no doubt a season or two, we are not a chop and change club.

That's what worries me Arouna, Martinez could blow the biggest transfer pot we've ever had. I look at Villa, Randy Learner was a benevolent owner at first, but after making a few wrong appointments he's left the club in a mess. I'd love Martinez to do well, but there's no denying defending is not his forte. Moyes built a good defence,Martinez has ruined that.

He has already had 3 seasons, yes we play nice football at time and yes we have also improved our squad, but our results have declined since the first season. As far as knowing who we would want to replace him doesn't mean he is the right person for the job.

Martinez' strength is definately being able to bring decemt players in to the team, Moyes wasn't as good at that

Another semi final, biggest points haul, striker getting 20+ league goals.

Loads of goals through the side and our backline with 11 on the pitch looks secure.

Another fella may well make us harder to beat, but maybe harder for us to win.

Suppose it boils down to what you want from the club, I have been a blue for near on 40 years, I would like to us win see us be successful again. If your only goal is for an enjoyable day out at the game I suppose there is no need to ever change anything.

True, Moyes made above average players into a good team, Martinez on the other hand makes brilliant players into an average team.

What annoys me about this Everton team is it wouldn't take much to turn it into a brilliant team, the thing is, I'm not convinced Martinez knows how to make that next step.

We have heard similar things about Arsenal but it never necessarily materialized into trophies. What do you think is required to make mancity a team with the best squad in the premiership champions? some easy changes here and there and boom. Football doesn't work that way.

As an outsider looking in, I think some of your fans are a bit unrealistic in your expectations of the team. You look at the squad today with Lukaku flying, Delafou flying, Barkley looking decent(hasnt been amazing in my opinion) then you suddenly expect them to be in the top 4 challenging for the title.Nobody asks the question where these players were last season. Was Lukaku or Delafou good enough to have you challenging last season. They have only started getting better, doesnt mean you should be challenging from the onset.

He is building a team and it takes time especially with young players.2 seasons back a large number of your fans were saying he wasted money on Lukaku. Now that he has developed him, he should be better placed and challenging.

Which is which? Martinez is a developmental manager, as such his methods require patience. The young players will get better and so will the team.So what if he ruined the defence moyes built.Would you rather have a team great at defending but could never beat the big boys in 8 years of football or a team that occasionally has a lapse in defence but is capable of turning over the big teams and has a better chance of winning something?

You have a better chance at winning trophies with martinez as your manager than you ever had with Moyes at the helm. Moyes methods were never going to win trophies, you can bet your money on that, even if he was given more money as he showed at united.

This nonsense of using wigan as a stick to beat him with is unrealistic and stupid. He wont relegate Everton.

It is said all the good managers win a trophy within their first 10 years of management irrespective of the team they are coaching.

maybe some will point to the division 2 title with Preston as Moyes greatest achievement but in 18 years of football what does Moyes have to show?

In 9 years of mangement Martinez has an FA cup and a league one trophy.

Some of your fans need to move on from Moyes. A few wanted Mark Hughs to take over some months back and now he is struggling.

There is more to management than just pointing fingers. Be happy you have martinez than a van gaal or some old geezer who wont take the club forward

Delafoue wasn't here last season, and lakkaku was still scoring. I get were you coming from but we haven't really kicked on imo. We are becoming more and more inconsistent.
