I agree with you to an extent but I have to say that personally I'll blame Jose for most of the problems this season, Eva's wrongful dismissal is having far reaching effects and then the arrogant expulsion or sale of some of our talented players...

Just out of interest, how many teams have taken more points than this "sorry bunch" since Hiddink took over? Jose completely lost the dressing room and had to go. But your squad and results are still pretty strong imo, certainly in terms of this poor Premier League, if not Europe. You could be worse off, you could have got LVG, who ripped the United squad apart, and has given the next manager a huge job to do.

Mstv,

yes Guss has steadied the ship, but come on were 20 points off Leicester , out classed by PSg, and bounced out of the FAcup by Everton.

This squad is an insult to past squads and there achievements in the Abramovich era.

Yes I'm sure we doing better than some clubs, but when you look at the money these players are on and the expectation of the club we are not where we should be imo.

United have spent a lot more and are worse and still have the cancer in the dugout. Be thankful yous can at least look forward and have a smaller rebuilding job than we do. Not much to be thankful for, admittedly as LVG has taken the pee during his tenure

, agreed it could be worse, but Roman does need to start to change the way he is doing things.mo.

Agreed

I can already predict what will happen with us this week too. We'll draw today and win 1 nil on Thursday, effectively being eliminated from two competitions and LVG will be bullish and assure us that we're progressing <where's that shudder smiley when you need it>

Going forward Roman needs to change the way he runs the club if he wants a long term sustainable format for running the club.

What are your suggestions then ?

In my opinion Roman re-hired Jose, had long term plans. In the nutshell the following main objectives were outlined to him prior to taking the job :-

Short term strategies (stage 1)

1) To achieve instant success, by adding selling few players to make the this team challenge for the title.

Long term strategy (stage 2)

2) To introduce youth players into the first team whilst sustaining success

3) To introduce a good brand of football

4) To maintain a good public image

My view on this is that the board was buoyant after Jose successfully completed stage 1 and trusted him to complete stage 2. Hence, rewarding Jose with another contract extension.

ok,

going over your comments,

1, Agreed

2, I think the clubs ambition effects our managers ability to nurture our younger players.

2, i also feel the club didn't back Jose properly going into this season.

3/4 , Well all know how that went.

But going forward imo, the club Roman need to balance the ambition by giving the manager room to give our best and brightest prospects the ability to flourish..

Our current loan system needs to be scrapped.

The footballing side of the club should be run by footballers, and not inadequately informed amateurs.

The club need to rebuild the spine, using a back bone of our best youth players along side key quality players.

Our managers need to backed and enabled to lead by example.

They are basically the key changes i would hope the owner consider.

As you well know Cfc have the EPLs highest wage bill,
------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought that was no longer the case from quite a while back??

I am jus sick of it all,

Want this season to end and see what we do to make sure we are back in same mess again, as we all know this will happen time and time again as we have fools on the board

But right now I just want to say I have E lighted that hiddink will not stay on, don't know how much more i can of him laughing of defeats

We will never learn from our mistakes, wait and see, we shall jus wave the cheque book again as this is all we know

Chalobah, baker, Christiansen, kenedy, traore, and many more will all loaned out again replaced with mercenaries who know nothing about the club,

Hi iffy

Didn't read you whole article but our wage bill is highest due to over youths(biggest in numbers) and loanees.

Throw in 10m for Pato and Falcao as well

Exactly side show, but it does come to .a significant sum, i would prefer we gave the younger players more of a opportunity.
