Of that list.....

Young - He won't be leaving. Loves it at United and his grit and hard work alone is worth keeping as a squad player.

Valencia - Sacked his agent not long ago as he has no desires at all to leave us.

Rooney - What you smoking? where is he going to go? Be sensible.

Rojo - Don't think he's good enough. He can go.

Jones - Can leave tomorrow. Sick note permanente.

Fellaini - He can leave now.

Carrick - I think he'll go in summer. Times up.

Lingard - Squad player at best. Don't see him going tough.

4 out of 8.

Sell 9 and replace them with 3 players, one of which is on his last legs?

Easier if you look at who you would keep to build a first team squad capable of winning the CL.

Only De Gea and Martial really.

Rest should leave or be part of second team. Though I do quite like Varela and Borthwick Jackson.

Ed facking Woodward need to stop wasting everyone's time pursuing the likes of Bale, Neymar and Muller and go for more realistic targets. Plenty of decent players out there

Renato Sanchez
Ruben Neves
Mauro Icardi
Marco Reus
Antoine Griezmann
Leroy Sane
Sven Bender
Lucas Biglila
Felipe Anderson
Hakan Çalhanoğlu
Aymeric Laporte
Riyad Mahrez
N'Golo Kanté
Granit Xhaka
Alexandre Lacazette

Just off the the top of my head.

if your reshuffled 8 players into your squad,

no matter how good the quality is

You would be worse off next season, a few changes in a transfer window is better

Look at The Suarez and Bale buys from Spurs and Liverpool, an overhaul of players never works

It didn't work for Spurs and Pool because they bought crap players, the majority of whom have subsequently been moved on. If we finish 6th this season, It's hard to imagine it getting much worse

I doubt we would sell 8 players in one transfer window. Possibly selling 5 players and buying 5 players is a little more realistic, but even then it is quite a push.

I would sell: Valdes, Rojo, Jones, Fellani and Carrick.

Then sign: 2 CB, DM, Winger and a striker.

No it isn't he's still crap

Valencia - Sacked his agent not long ago as he has no desires at all to leave us.

So he isn't good enough to play for us.

Rooney - What you smoking? where is he going to go? Be sensible.

Who cares he's past his best

Rojo - Don't think he's good enough. He can go.

Jones - Can leave tomorrow. Sick note permanente.

Fellaini - He can leave now.

Carrick - I think he'll go in summer. Times up.

Lingard - Squad player at best. Don't see him going tough.

He isn't good enough to be that.

People saying who should go and who should come in and then list are large amount don't seem to understand squad dynamics and management. This isn't football manager. Or the French or Scottish league. Neither are we in the same situation as Real Madrid or Barca.

We need to trim the fat over a few seasons. Young and Lingard can be kept as squad players but maybe by the end of next season they can be rid off. Jones and Rojo have to go, but I suspect one will go and replaced rather tha both. Valencia should be sold as we do have two right backs and he is no longer seen as a winger.
No one other than China will take Rooney on his wages. This isn't football manager.

I like Lingard. He should stay.

Young is usually one of our best players when he plays, and even when he's at full back he's one of our main threats.

Might be time to give up on Jones as he's always injured.

I hate to say it because he's been a superb player for us, but Carrick has been poor of late. Don't know if it's his age -- his passing ability seems to have deserted him and he's made quite a few errors.

Rojo is a good player if he can stay fit. Lingard is a decent squad player who I would keep and he does have a goal in him which could be useful off the bench. Rooney and Carrick have been great servants to us but it's time for both to move on. The rest of that are just average players who come and go and good luck to them.

I'd keep Lingard, especially if we were selling Young and Valencia. Keep one of Rojo or Jones as well, for cover. Can't argue too much with the others but it's unlikely that many will go at once.

If Mourinho is the next manager, Young and Valencia will go nowhere. They are Mourinho players.

Stretty

Spurs brought players like Eriksen, Lamela and Chadli with the Bale money, all three have been an Integral part of Spurs title challenge. You are buying into to much media rubbish.

=========================================

we got rid of nine first team players last summer.

=====================================

He is mediocre and cant stay fit and lingard is poor.

Cant believe people will defend such mediocrity.
