Vacant Managers Position

Reading between the lines of what we have been told over the last 24 hours and I actually think Lennon's departure maybe the first time ever that a manager leaving a club actually was by "mutual consent".

The key thing for me is the fact that Lennon was made aware of Feeney's loan deal before the decision for Neil and the club to part ways.

In my opinion Lennon has probably seen that as the new owners accepting relegation is already guaranteed, something he wasn't ever going to do until the maths said we are down.

Whatever comes next I will always feel sorry for Lennon. He was flat out lied to by the previous regime and never had a chance to put his stamp on the side with the players he would have wanted. In different circumstances he would have been a success for us in my honest opinion. One thing is for sure, by bloodied some of our youngsters, lads who have proven they can cut it at senior level, he has left us with a better legacy than his predecessors.

Thanks for all your efforts Neil.

Very well put Wf.

Lennon didn't get a fair crack of the whip and was mislead if not lied to.

The problem I have had with him these last few weeks is the substitutions coming so late in games, seemingly losing the dressing room and his team selections.

If he had been given money to spend on the squad, I don't think for one minute that we would be facing relegation on the other hand, would he have been good enough to get us promoted this season or next? I'm not sure he would.

One thing is for sure, he didn't have an easy task coping with the likes of Madine, who for me, should never have been given a contract, and of course coping with all the off field drama.
