I liked the way Welbeck and Iwobi attacked. More movement than Giroud and Walcott. Hopefully more to come from them.
Elneny looking good. I'm glad he's been given his chance. Played some big games lately and stood up to every test.
Have to agree at least we went down fighting and on another night may have had more than the single goal to show for it. Iwobi, Elneny and Wellbeck all had good games so hope Wenger persists with them as Giroud needs a rest and Walcott quite frankly has been poor.
Agreed, Iwobi and Welbeck should continue in the side, we've really missed decent movement up top.
The big issue I think anyway is that this article could have been written after all your last 16 ties in the last few years It kind of doesn't matter because you only seem to get going once you are too far behind for it to really matter.
Agree with you OP. We can take a lot of positives from this game.
We had our chances but being wasteful again. players like Messi and Suarez cant be controlled a whole game. They will punish you on every Little mistake you made. Think there were more in this game than a defeat but Koscielny on the first goal and a bit of our naivity again stopped us from a better outcome.
Think Iwobi is promising and we should keep him in the side. Elneny getting better and better and playing with more freedom. Great goal by him.
Barca didnt get out of first gear

All this gear stuff is nonsense.
We played well, they were better
Yes I'm sure there were times they weren't really trying in the champions league knockout stages
No doubt Arsenal played well last night, if Saurez for example had an Arsenal shirt on then you would have won the game.
IMO Barca took the game lightly as the damage had been done - and they still won 3-1

It's really not, though.
Would have been a completely different game had we drawn the home leg 0-0.

Exactly. They're vulnerable at their back as well. You only need to take your chances.

Didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know about the team; when the pressure is off and nothing is expected, the team will generally show something and put in a display.
This one was never going to count for anything because of who we were playing, but it's just so typically Arsenal to leave positives at a time when they're free from expectation.
