It's VERY apt for Arsenal actually.
We have pleaded poverty in the league championship stakes as a get out clause for failure not to compete. Now our money in the bank and failure against Leicester and Tottenham has shown that Wenger is just not capable, FULL STOP !
I'm not sure he even gets the best out of players anymore. Even when we were not winning anything, when we had no money, what he did with the crap teams he had was pretty remarkable. Think of the dross we had in our squad, and the injuries, but we still got top 4 every year. Those squads were 7th place quality, but Wenger got the best out of them.
But now we have much better players. But they all just don't seem motivated. They just go through the motions. Likes of Walcott, ox, Ramsey, Gibbs should all be performing so much better. They have it in them. Wenger seems to have lost the ability to mould top players. Last one was fabregas. Bellerin and coq are good, but really they only got in because of injuries, and Wenger was forced to play them.
You just get the feeling now with a new manager, we might see Ramsey ox etc reach their potential. Not sure he is the right man to get best out of his players anymore. It's like with Wilshere, he plays much better for England, Welbeck as well.

.......I think that's complete BS, but the fact is we will never know because it never happened.
Leicester have done incredibly well, but it's worth remembering they went out of the cups early, had no European games to worry about and have been incredibly fortunate with injuries.

We still had the 4th best squad and the 4th highest wage bill all those years. But your right he got the most out of those players and we did better in the CL from 05-09 than after that.

No, it's irrelevant to you and everyone else
i can say as an outsider (glasgow ranger fan but arsenal are my english team) i see the emergance of guys like GHAgooner and others who dont really give a rats ass about the heritage and history of the club, while arsene has his faults, to turn on the guy who has invested so much in making arsenal a european powerhouse just shows there are far too many part supporters who dont have a scooby
