Not necessarily.
If a team has far fewer games to play, hence better rest & prep time, and far fewer injuries... but only wins it by a few points, then the runner-up probably deserved it.

How do work that out then?
I'd like to see Leicester win it, the Premier League needs someone different/unexpected to win it.
For over a decade the league has pretty much gone to the highest bidder. This has therefore become a ready made excuse for any club being outspent to say they can't build a side to win the title and that those glory days are gone.
Well if Leicester or Tottenham or to a far lesser extent Arsenal do win it this season then it bodes very well for the future.
I'd only be really annoyed if Man City were to win it. That's the real nightmare although I've noticed plenty of people who'd be happier they (City) won it than others because it gives their club some sort of pardon.

City are too far off to win it; they seem to have channeled their energy into their Champions League campaign, which will probably end in the QFs. Leicester, and to a lesser extent (and I hate having to admit it) Spurs winning would be very good for the league; hopefully they do what Dortmund did and build on their success. But first they need to seal the league against Chelsea.

Two wise guys. Not much going on with the Gunners?
Hope they win it over Spurs. But it really has brought into focus our failings more than ever before. Same is true of Spurs win.
To be honest whoever wins it, Spurs or Leicester, fair play. Fully deserved, won it through best team play and management. Not buying it.
Don't understand why people think Spurs will win it? Am I the only person that thinks they have a very tough April where they will drop a lot of points? Arsenal should finish at least 2nd and we'll be there to pounce if Leicester slip up.

We'll win it by more than a few points, I'll go for eight 👍
Wenger's belief that the league is still open is laughable. It ended weeks ago.
____
Don't get how people can complain about the team's/manager's lack of mental strength, then throw in the towel so easily.
Win your game in hand and you're 8 points back.
Looking at Leicester's last 5, and it's not that far fetched to suggest they might only win 1 of them and collect just 4 or 5 points of the 15.
Arsenal could even sew up the title with a win at the Etihad.

In what way this season has Wenger demonstrated that this team actually has the mental strength to claw back the title?

That's not the point though. It's obviously an extremely uphill task, but when you look at the remaining fixtures, there are plenty of potential pitfalls for Leicester. They've got 21 points left to play for, but don't have that many bankers and have never been in a situation like this before. There's no knowing how they'll respond if they unexpectedly drop a couple of points vs So'ton or Sunderland. A slight wobble at this stage of the season and they might just come unstuck at the seams.
If you win one of West Ham or City away -your toughest remaining fixtures on paper- you could be looking at 21 points from your last 8. One game at a time, but each win will put a little bit more pressure on Leicester.
It's not in your hands, but you just need to keep plugging away until it's no longer possible. That's how I see it.
