Good article.
First of all there is absolutely no way we should be selling him. Ridiculous suggestion from those who think so.
To have Ozil and Ramsey in the middle, we'd need Busquests or Motta or someone that good. For the time being I like him on the right, but ideally he returns to his form that drove us close to the title in CM.
I think its clear its not going to work with him and Flamini or Coquelin. I don't see enough discipline with him and Elneny either.
I tend to agree about Sanchez. Pre season I said the title was ours if Sanchez turns up and he hasn't. That said i'm far from pleased with Wenger.
also disappointed with Wenger but if you look at his strengths and management style, he has simply done what he has done for the last 18 years.
His big mistake was not recruiting outfield players in the summer hence he had no options once injuries struck or players lost form.
What could he do once Ramsey struggled in the center or once he realised Theo was never going to be a striker? Remember both players begged to play there throughout the summer.
He has paid for having faith in certain players but I think the lesson has been learnt. He is stubborn but Im pretty sure he has learnt this time.
Interesting what he does this summer but I hope we dont lose any players other than Rosicky & Arteta. Would keep Flamini for one more season as I think he does a job in short spells and is great for the dressing room.
We need a CB, a winger, a striker and maybe another CM.
Anyones guess what he will do but we need competition in the ranks.
No way we should sell Ramsey.
In the summer we should be getting rid of Flamini, Arteta, Rosicky, Debuchy and I won't be suprised if wenger sells Campbell as well
There is some balancing to be done in the summer.
I'd keep Ramsey but certainly look at offloading the OX and Walcott along with the obvious. Walcott salary is ridiculous and OX I believe is pushing for more money. Time to cut our losses there whilst we could probably get some good money back. They were both bought young so we will get their transfer fees back but also cut out their wage bill.
Problem is if we sold Ox and Walxott wenger would not buy the necessary replacements.
And secondly why would we sell both of these players?
Yes both have been out of form but what happens when iwobi and Campbell have their inevitable dip, do we sell them to.
Problem with Ox and Walcott is that they are both so injury prone that it's difficult for them to complete a whole season.
Still think these two our vital to our game
I dont blame any player alone of how our season works out. It's always about the balance of the team and how the team works together.
I think Wenger's believe in players can do a job in positions they are not used to cost us. His believe in players to stay healty the whole long season cost us.
I should have qualified it more, partially for the reason you cite, injuries, I would look at replacing at least 1 of them. They are not vital to us, in fact if either one would have performed much better through the season we would have done better IMO.
As much as walcotts performances have disgusted me i would keep him.We need to also keep Ox as we cant overload Wilshere next season.I think the target with Wilshere for the whole of next season is fitness, then he can look to win his place the following season. His chances for euro are looking grim and that will hurt him more than anything.
What we need is competition and a clear method of playing.
I would only get rid of Rosicky and Arteta.I would actually keep Flamini aswell even if we signed someone else.
Wilshere will be injured next season as will all the other usual suspects so the summer activity will be crucial
I dont agree with you on the first one GT as I think wengers knows the strength of his players.Ramsey and walcott whispered too much in his ear and made him play them where they werent good enough but he has always known this despite what he has said.
The interesting one is sanchez and how he lines up next season.I personally would have him on the right but we will see.
Where I agree with you is his belief in certain players lasting the whole season and that cost him big time.
Ox, Theo, Wilshere are certainly bit part players simply on their inability to stay fit
i do hope we keep them all.
I still don't understand why you would keep players that through a season are not offering us much at all. Squad positions are vital and we have a number of younger better players coming through IMO. Already we have seen Iwobi and Campbell look like they offer more than both in such a shorter period of time, we need to develop that talent and bring in more experience.
I dont agree with you on the first one GT as I think wengers knows the strength of his players.Ramsey and walcott whispered too much in his ear and made him play them where they werent good enough but he has always known this despite what he has said.
__________
Wenger's believe that Ramsey can play as a CM cost us. It stopped our whole midfield play because he dwelled too long on the ball and lost the ball. He is technically not good enough to bring our wingers into play because of the fact he has the ball too long on his feet. He is not diciplined enough in position as well and played a free role and was everywhere on the pitch but not in the area that needed to be. All that exposed our us at the back and it cost us.
I dont want to blame all on him alone as Sanchez dropped from as well for example.
I blame Wenger not noticing of what we need in midfield. He corrected it with Elneny in January and we were unlucky to have our midfielders injured which didnt help either.
yeah but we also need experience and believe it or not Theo and flamini are among our most experienced players.
We have some good youngsters I want to see develop like the Jeff and hope we have a decent Carling cup run.
Also hope we keep Jenkinson
I disagree with those who say we need to buy 3 or 4 high quality players in the summer. I would say this team is one top quality striker away
What we need more than anything is a new medical team. Every season we lose a quarter of our first team squad to long term injuries and I can't remember the last time we got through a season without 9 or 10 players being unavailable at the same time.
Iwobi has played a few games and already fans are getting ahead of themselves
Let him do it for the remainder of the season at least
I would keep Flamini to be honest and with 3 to 4 additions we would have a very good squad for the 4 competitions
Assuming we renew the loans of Szczesny
Petr Cech
David Ospina
Emiliano Martinez
Laurent Kos
Per Mert
Gabriel
Chambers
Bellerin
Jenkinson
Monreal
Gibbs
Flamini
Coquelin
Elneny
Kante (hopefully)
Wilshere
Santi
Ramsey
Ox
Ozil
Sanchez
Theo
Mahrez(hopefully)
Iwobi
The Jeff
Cambell
Giroud
Welbeck
Lewandoski(hopefully)
Toral has been great on loan so a promotion to the firs team would be great.
would be happy with that.

who else can we get?Im worried he might be tempted to give Welbeck a go which will be a disaster.
if we offer bayern 50 million and make him our highest paid player why wouldnt Lewandoski come? He has been in germany for 5 years now and im sure he loves it there but maybe another challenge would entice him.
he is in the 2nd year of a 5 year contract but who knows.
