Wow were they depressing days to be a spurs fan. At least we could laugh at Gerrys mullet,
He's been brilliant, never heard of the guy before we signed him, well done to Mitchell and co
Hey we'll have criticism of the ginger pele.
Hmm, we've certainly had our share of dross but hey ho, Ginola, Lineker, Ardiles, Gascoigne, Modric, Bale and Berbatov have all helped to alleviate some of my pain over the years.
When you consider he cost almost just a tenth of what Mangala cost.
I thought Sunday his passing was sublime, one of his best games for us.
First thing I noticed about Wimmer was his passing. Has great distribution.
Jan will have to wait for his chance to earn a place back.
Wimmer is young so it bodes well for the future.
He's been very impressive
Tough decision for Poch' when Vertonghen's fit, continue with a good partnership in Toby and Wimmer or bring back a more senior player who was good before his injury but is likely to be a bit rusty.
After seeing some of his performances in the early rounds of the Europa you could tell he was quality, but when Jan got injured i questioned wether Wimmer could perform at a high standard over a lot of games and so early into his career at Spurs and in the premier league
He has been nothing short of brilliant, its as if he has been at Spurs for years the way he has slotted in. He is composed has decent pace, good in the air, and as others have said very comfortable on the ball and capable of hitting diagonal balls like Alderweireld.
before he came into the side on a regular basis i saw a couple of interviews and he seems a very mature level headed lad. He wasn't disappointed that he wasn't in the side at the time but just so happy to be at Spurs training with the rest of the squad.
The only flaw in his performances has been a few too many needles fouls given away in dangerous areas but with more experience he will learn to hold off a bit more and not dive in.
As others have said Jan will have to fight to get his place back Wimmer won't be giving up his 1st team role without a fight.
I refuse to believe City payed that much for those centre backs! Have either of them had a good game in the prem?
Never change a winning team, it was unfortunate that Vert got injured but now Wimmer has stepped in and he doesn't deserve to lose his place.
