Yoghurt with granola and seeds.

And if you're trying to avoid dairy as well then coconut yoghurt is pretty nice.

What type of yoghurt tcw? The fat free ones are full of sugar....

posted on 22/3/16

Yep they are pretty much all sweetened sadly. Also not totally dairy free. If you find something, let me know!

Of course if you're really feeling virtuous you could probably make your own.

I find porridge pretty filling but if you go for the instant sachet stuff you have to watch out as a lot of it has added sugar.

That would end in disaster

I do like the yoghurt and granola idea though might have to give it a whirl.

Yeah I noticed this too, even the plain original sachets have loads of sugar!

It's very difficult to do a traditional looking breakfast and still stick to all the many many rules of modern dietary practice. Too much free from this, can't have that.

Personally I handle dairy and gluten like a trooper. Try not to have ridiculous amounts but I won't let it stress me out.

It becomes a nightmare when trying to get a good serving of protein into it. Which is pretty helpful for 'filling'. And personally I don't really consider anything I eat without protein a meal any more. Eggs is basically the answer here. And even they can be bltched about if you're enough of a prlck.

Porridge is perfect mate, slow release of energy and tasty too.

As said above lots of the single packs or ones that come from kellogs etc are full of sugar.

But if you get a proper one (they probably sell in in your onsite restaurant?) add some honey to it, makes it very tasty and fills you up.

Can't get a much better breakfast even if it does look like gruel.

They do and they even have the honey to add a drizzle. The trouble is I don't know if they have put sugar in it as its ready made. Maybe I should buy my own and make my own on site... would be cheaper.

Is easier to get no added sugar in a full fat product.

Also if you actually don't care about how much nutritional value they sap from it... Total 0 is 80% protein.

Not quite. But per 100g.

0g fat, 4g sugars, 10.4g protein.
