Cheers Mb, the the work is guaranteed for a year so I'll take it back to the garage
No worries hydy, definitely worth getting it back there.
I once bought a "Approved Used" Golf from a VW garage and when I went to take it for a test drive it had a flat so I took a different one and when it came to do the deal I was happy aslong as they changed the tyre. I got my nice shiny nearly new car and took it for a drive out with my girlfriend to York. On the road there I had to do an emergency stop as there was a pileup ahead. Next morning I go and find the tyre flat as a pancake. The dealership was literally round the corner from my house so I limped it there.
The salesman was snooty about me seeming to suggest they were at fault somehow and then I saw every single one of their mechanics being gathered round and shown my wheel. It turns out there was a nail that was right up the side of the alloy. So it means when they "checked" the car over they merely pumped up a tyre with a nail in it! They said they would replace the tyre like they were doing me a favour and I tore them a new one as the day before I could have been killed or killed someone else.
The same numpties when I reported water leaking in through the air vents had it in multiple times (whilst under warranty) including stripping all the seats and trim out and pressure hosing the car! They never found any faults. When it happened again out of warranty the old fella running the local garage instantly recognized that the condensing pipe from the air con will have been leaking into the ventilation. Trouble was by that time it had caused damage so the fan was either on full or not at all as the resister had gone. If it was still under warranty they could have fixed it but as it was I didn't want to pay £500 as I was getting rid of it anyway.
It never ceases to amaze me how the garages that charge the most are often the worst!
Youre right LV, in my career I have always tried to make sure I know what an answer should be before I ask the question as its amazing how many times seasoned professionals BS you!!!
We have a major contract which we are on final testing for which would would in year one provide more then enough income to support a much wide staff. Its a bit high risk at the moment but we have a decent pipeline and if it all comes off I should have a decent business for me and my family.
Having been employed by large companies all my career its a bit scary but who dares wins!
Hydy, judging by those timelines, you were hovering! 😂
MBWB, in this day and age, it's a gamble working for bigger companies. If things go well for you, at least you will have more security. That's how I see it anyhow.
Fooking alternator has gone! Again! Got home in second gear, no electrics, power steering etc. Nightmare!
Luckily it's guaranteed and the garage is picking it up tomorrow.
That's the trouble with modern cars, when the electrics go its knackered
Has Rooney had his hair done again? He just said mentioned his little boy wants an England kit with Vardy on the back
This is more like the England we know!
Just watched the England v Netherregions match. Although England didn't play as well last night, they didn't deserve to lose. Maybe a debatable penalty decision against Rose and a blatant foul on Jagielka gifted the match to the Dutch.
Great to see Steptoe grab another one!
Some very strong language, but funny! 😂https://www.facebook.com/lee.henman/videos/10154649973968852/
That's hilarious, just my sense of humour. It reminds me of the old postman pat one.
Yeah, it's a good chuckle. Lots of swearing though, not for folk who don't like sweary humour!
I'm sure you will be shocked to hear we have sent Elvis back to Brighton. Apparently doing two step overs isn't contributing enough
It was very sweaty LV, but funny.
Sweary not sweaty. Auto correct again.
It would have been sweaty work for the robot, UTG. 😉

Massive "Elvis has left the building" opportunity missed there MB
Are you still friends with Buckethandle (Howard) on Facebook?
Haha you are right Champers but when I wrote that I thought...it's now or never!!!
No I don't even have a Facebook account any more. I am a bit antisocial media!!! I miss the banter of the old 606, and the nutters from other clubs you would interact with. You just don't get that as much on any of these sites as fans just want to moan about their club!!!
Ah rite...I was just gonna ask if you'd seen he's gone into stand up comedy? Did his 1000th gig the other night. He always was quite the wit.
And yeah, even a part of me still misses beckford4england too
Really annoyed with the megastore. I pre-ordered the foundation shirt for my son and saw on Twitter that those who had pre-ordered would be getting an email to say could be collected. Of course I didn't so phoned the store. The first person said couldn't find any order in my name or my son's and they were busy so could someone phone me later. Feeling stroppy I said no, I wanted to know where my order was.
I was then put on to someone else who basically said I hadn't ordered it. I repeated I had and the payment had been taken. I was then put onto the manager who said nothing could be found. I asked exactly when it went on sale so I could check my bank account for proof the payment had been taken. He told me when then something must have clicked cos he said he was just going to check something and lo and behold he found my order. He couldn't apologise enough and I accept mistakes do happen but I really resent being told I haven't ordered something when I have and then when I insist I have being treated as a nuisance and repeatedly told there's no record of my order.
I have now managed to get into my megastore account and the order is there large as life. I am going to collect it tomorrow and it had better be waiting.
Rant over, sorry.
P.S. Still haven't had an email😡
Can you get me a Wagner revolution mug please. I can't log into my account either
