On Sunday evening chants of "donkey" and "Gary go now" broke out as his side’s defence was incinerated by Celta Vigo in the final fifteen minutes leading to a third consecutive La Liga defeat at home
Nice to see they're using British insults to hurt him extra or something.
Let us by Parejo while the club is in turmoil. Great player.
The fans already hated the owner. Bringing in a guy with zero experience just because he was mates with the owner was a recipe for disaster. Neville will learn from this and may well turn out to be a good manager but this was never a good move
Was a ridiculous appointment for a fairly big club. Would be the equivalent of appointing Ryan Giggs at a huge club....
they're a very big club, not a fairly big one
and they're being dragged closer and closer into the relegation battle
you know this club have only ever spent a handful of seasons outside the top flight in the history of spanish league football
if they do get relegated, i expect the fans to genuinely burn Neville at the stake
In the greater scheme of things, European wise they're fairly big. Even in Spain, they're far below the obvious two, Atletico and Athletic Bilbao in terms of prestige.
But this has been an unmitigated disaster and they should be doing much, much better. Though the circus that is the structure of that club doesn't help matters
in spain they rank about equal third with atletico in terms of size
i'd put athletic bilbao as 5th biggest in spain
trust me.. i know my sheet on spanish footy
Won't argue with you mate
I just based it on my own perception lol
I see Athletic as big, not just because of the whole Basque thong but because even Atletico were formed through a bunch of Basque, Athletic fans so I always see them as big. Plus, they, have a sensational Copa del Rey record
big 6 clubs in this order:
1. R Madrid
2. Farza
3. Atletico
4. Valencia
5. Athletic Bilbao
6. Sevilla
that's my executive opinion

Basque? Thong?
Something on your mind Merry?
I'll take your word for it. Doesn't seem too far wrong to e tbf. Real are undoubtedly the biggest club in Spain (and Europe) imo, regardless of where they are at now
My heads in the gutter Poster
Who ever said Valencia are a very big club needs a good smacking.
No they are not a very big club
in terms of penyas and overall support
i'm pretty sure its n*p and tuck between atleti and valencia for 3rd place
suprisingly Betis are a better supported club than their city rivals Sevilla, and ofcourse R Zaragoza, a fallen giant of spanish football are up there too

Peks I remember about 8 or 9 years ago, back when I would have followed Spanish football a bit, I tipped Zaragoza to make the top 4. They got relegated and it ended in total disgrace, with fans invading the pitch and players kicking them up the bum. Hilarious scenes
yer zaragoza have become a disaster tbh
v badly run club
they've been in the 2nd for a few seasons now..and i doubt they'll get out of it this season
Valencia are the 3rd or 4th biggest club in spain depending how at madrid are doing. Great following and atmosphere,a plastic free zone
Valencia is a huge city in Spain and their team is a very big Spanish side. I'm going back there in a few weeks. Love it there. I doubt Gary will still be there.
