I would be delighted if we spent £50m on this guy.
Even for £60m I would be happy.
We missed out on Suarez because Wenger was being tight f#sted. Let's not miss out on this guy.
not sure if he's consistent enough for £50m
I personally think he is not suited for us just yet.Lots of potential though.
for 60 million Im going for Lewandoski or Benzema
Why do you guys care how much we spend in the player? It's not the the money in the bank is doing anything for the results on the pitch? Who cares as long the player improves us I don't care how much we pay for him. Lukaku is only 23 so will have dell on value anyways

Bayern aren't going to sell Lewa, they aren't a circus like Real so it would take a world record bid. Benzema is very unlikely unless Real randomly decide he's surplus or sign Aubameyang.
Lukaku for me is worth the gamble at around £50m, the guy is only 22 so we would get many years of service out of him if he's a hit and even if he flops we would still get a decent fee. It's a no brainer for me.
Everton won't sell to a PL club, not now that they've got their new sugar daddy shareholder
How someone can say Lukaku is too inconsistent, at the age of 22 having over 70 goals and getting over 15 for 5 seasons running, but suggest Benzema instead is beyond me.

This is probably what Wenger will be saying to himself so won't even bother trying. Apparently no good strikers will move clubs ever again.
Thing about Wenger that infuriates me most is when he doesn't buy the players we need every single year! The man loves shooting himself on the foot. Or maybe he really does get a percentage of the unspent transfer budget???

Why is it beyond you? We can presume Lukaku will continue to improve, but it remains to be seen and he isn't currently at Benzema's level.

Im not sure the guy who said he is inconsistent suggested benzema.
Thing is Im not sure Lukaku is at a level where we can say he is a major upgrade on Giroud and co and I get the feeling we kinda need the finished article at the moment given all thats gone on before.
I like lukaku, prefer him to Kane and he will be almost as good as Drogba in my opinion especially in his all round game, I just think Arsenal need a super mobile striker to compliment Ozil, not a big target man who does a number of things.
just my opinion. I would be delighted if we signed him though.
Lukaku would be a great signing for Arsenal. Will Wenger stump up the cash, though?
A quality DM and lukaku this summer will go a long way to make up for what we have had to put up with from Wenger in the transfer window for years.

Daft article, Lukaku is exactly the type of signing wenger has been making for the last three years. World class or world class potential player who wants to leave their club. I would not be shocked if we went for him

Depends how Sweden do at the Euros/PSG in the CL. He wants to retire on a high.
Zlaten would be a great sigining and cost nothing
Everton would want upwards of £50M. For that sort of money you would want the real deal and not somebody who could be the real deal. This time last year a lot of people were saying Everton were mugged off coughing up £28M for him. He's only had one top quality season.

Put it this way Lukaku is the same age as oxlade chamberlain is playing for a mid table team and has notched one of the highest goal totals this season. We would take him in an instant. He is worth 50 mil easily when u take his age into account

You really think Everton will decide he's surplus to requirements and offer him to Arsenal this summer?

Apart from quarter of a mil each week in wages.
Tbh if we're looking at spunking £50-60m on a striker, would it be worth waving it under Dortmund's noses and see if Aubameyang is available? Or is that a non-starter?
Zlatan and Lukaku as the first choice and Giroud battling with Walcott and Welbeck as third choice. W and W would be used as wingers as well though so would get reasonable game time.
I would like to see Lukaku or Aubameyang join, I like them both and think they would improve the team.
aside from that its a tough area to fill. Maybe finally give Higuain a go!
