Learning to roll when half your lower leg is in a pothole, playing on a pitch at a 45 degree angle, grass so long you need a machete to run through, goalkeeper areas 15 ft deep in mud and water, opposing teams fathers threatening to kneecap you after the game, your own father threatening to kneecap you over the game. Crossbars bent in the middle. Corner flags 3 yards from the end of the penalty area.
That's a proper training facility, now they want a sandpit, we had sandpits too proper one's with needles, glass and jonnies in and a bit of a vomit from Saturday night excess.
Well, certainly the chairman is trying to sustainably succeed on a monumental scale. Well done MM and his team. A lot of creativity has gone into the project and the big crowds at the iPRO are well deserved.
