Off the top of my head I wouldn't think there are more than a dozen managers still in the game who have a league title plus CL to their name, so not sure why that makes him championship quality.
Because hes a bad manager who aint achieved nothing since 2005 bro.

well 9 months ago real madrid thought he was good enough for them, so i'm sure he will receive better offers than championship football.
If Benitez has any class he'll stick with Newcastle. Its the least he can do after relegating them. It would be a real diiick move to relegate them and then furrrk off.

Amazed he took the job.

think he has a relegation get out clause, so i guess it was a bit of a free hit for him.
Tch, how cowardly is that. Relegating a tram, but having a clause that means you dont gotta sort out yoir mess. Typical benitez.

Hiddink since 05 - FA Cup Chelsea 08/09
Im sure Rafa beats that though.
Hows it not cowardly? If he was gonna take the newcastle job, he should have had the balls to stick with it no matter what. So hes just gonna go if newcastle get relegated? Huh, i guess he dont got much fight in him, huh?
Woudln't say he's made us worse.

I would think so as well. I think his family have been based on Merseyside since he quit Liverpool, so I can understand him coming back to England. Just really surprised he took the job on. He must have seen the table beforehand and realised it was likely only Norwich and Sunderland were realistically catchable. Really small margin for error.
From a reputation point of view, even if he has a get out clause, is it really worth taking over for a couple of months and going down?

fight in him? as i said, there can't be many managers in the game with better CVs than him, why should he manage in the championship?
he took over a team in the relegation zone, and he may leave a team that has been relegated, but if the club wants to hire him on those terms save your bile for them rather than for benitez.
He should manage in ghe championship because thats where newcastle, the team he chose to manage, are gonna end up. Its disgusting to think he'll only stick with them if they stay in the premier league. He chise to manage newcastle, so he needs to stick by that decision no matter what like a man.

if that is your definition of "disgusting" then you need to either grow up, or develop a thicker skin.
Benitez is a wimp. He should have the honour to try and get newcastle promoted if he relegates them. Thats the decent thing to do.

He chose to manage Newcastle until the end of the season and the owners agreed basically. IDK how much more simpler anyone can put it for you.
Wimpy move. If he was gonna manage newcastle, he should have had the balls to manage them in the championship
Actually see it as a ballsy move same as him taking the RM job despite being doomed and the Chelsea job despite being hated by clowns like yourself.
How is it ballsy? If he gets relegated hes just gonna furrrk off.
cry moar OP. Rafa took over Newcastle when mclaren had as good as relegated them, and can only make them as good as the players pardew and mclaren bought. He doesnt HAVE to do anything more than what he is being paid for. Don't like it? The cry moar Noob
Why does anyone reply to this guy. Didn't even used to write like this so is just an attention seeking wum.
Bruv.
Was, dude, if Maureen had stayed at Chelsea he would have relegated them then left what would you have said about that I wonder?
