Realistically NZ need to get these last 5 wickets in about 30-35 overs to set up an opportunity to chase. Could still be a decent finish so fair play to NZ for plugging away. It was a good innings from Safaraz though to get Pakistan ahead though as it provides more reward for their shots as runs are effectively doubled by NZ's need to chase them down to win.

For all the criticism the pitches have been getting, we could still end up with 4 positive results from 4 games. Obviously helped by some batter error but mistakes will be made over the course of 5 day cricket. That's what makes it a test match.

Last inn8 gs under pressure deffo a problem for Pakistan. But I guess there is two hours play left mi us breaks, so if theycan bat for one more hour and add 30 runs probably hang on

Pretty much how we were for the last 18-24 months under Root. Although covid and bubbles were partly to blame for that as well.

I still think we are in for a draw but it could be a really interesting finish if NZ need say 130 from 20 overs.

Strange tactics from NZ. When England needed a wicket they went to pace and bowled short. NZ just keep bowling spin.
