On paper our squad is better.
On the field the team is more often than not at the same standard.
Although I would expect the current team to beat the 12 13 team with some comfort if it were possible for them to play each other!
Squad is certainly better. And at times we have shown to be better tactically and defensively in some games, especially some big games. We used to always lose to our rivals, not so guaranteed now.
But overall our main frailties have remained the same for 12 years. The same ones that have cost us in every season. We still are unable to put up a proper challenge over a full season. We are always 2 players short, motivation and desire to win big trophies is still missing, tactics while at times better against bigger teams, we still struggle to beat teams who sit back and defend. We play with an arrogance against some teams, and won't change approach when faced with varying challenges (ie against West Ham, we had no plan to deal with Carroll). and the formula to beat Arsenal is still effective after 12 years.
No one could predict Chelsea and man city would be off this season, so if they were usual standard this season we'd be battling for 4th at the moment.
Overall I'd say we've improved by about 10% compared to 3/4 years ago.
It doesn't matter what team wenger has they will never win the league under that loser.
I said as long as we kept improving I'd stick by Wenger. We improved when ozil signed and Ramsey had his year. Then we improved with the addition of Sanchez. This year it feels like there's a gaping hole in our team which is inexplicable really.
It sems to me that our talented team lacks bottle. It has for years. Our defence is insecure and has been for years. These are all top players. Why can't they win the league. Where is the passion? Why the collapse v West Ham? Constant injuries. Occasional tonkings. Bottling games. You know why. No amount of extra talent will change the pattern of the last decade. Why is there so much discontent from supporters? Because we have lost hope under thge current regime. Same old. Same old.
We didn't improve this season as we didn't sign an outfield player. New players keep things fresh and keep others on their toes along with bringing new skills to the team.
All Wenger has to do was sign a faking CF and a DM and we would have walked the league.
Relying on the likes of Arteta, Rosicky, Wilshere, Oxlade, Walcott and Flamini was / is a sackable offence.

I wouldn't call Wenger a "loser", he has been successful in the past. However, his slow back-and-forth practice-game style of play is no longer effective in the PL.
I would agree that until Wenger is replaced, the Gunners will not win the PL.

He's got a losing mentality now which makes him a loser.
