Spurs fans absolutely devestated by Ozils inclusion

Only a couple of them, tbf.

And Sandy, of course. But he doesn't really count.

Why is Alli a definitely for the young?

Forget the "journey" story.

Kane and Lukaku have scored umpteen more goals.

Alli's transition from League 1 to the Prem alone is why he shoud win YPOTY.

I think it will most likely be Mahrez for POTY and Kane for Young Player.

Most players won't vote Kane for the main award, but will feel he deserves recognition

Yep those two have really lifted Everton this season

Not sure of the relevance of that to an individual award.

What has Alli done that Kane hasn't?

Other than being a great story of course.

Why? Isn't it about who has been the best young player?

Is there some kind of handicap system that I'm not aware of?

Their performances despite their team is why they should be up there. Easy to play well in a team playing well, far harder to play well in a team playing crap.

There may be a little bias in the Everton managers comments about the Everton team

Dele Alli - 8 goals 9 assists in Prem this season

2 MotM appearances for England.

Not just about scoring goals

posted on 13/4/16

It's not about England either.

So just so I'm clear. You can score and create less goals, pass the ball worse and win an award because of who you played for last season?

This is what you're telling me?

rauben who do you think it shld be then....!?

posted on 13/4/16

For me Kane or Lukaku should. Alli has had a great season for someone who has come from league 1.

The other two have had great seasons full stop.

No. I just think Dele Alli has consistently been the best U23 footballer in the Premier league this seaon despite the fact this has been his first season in the league making it even more impressive. Kane and Lukaku have both gone through speels where they haven't been playing very well, Dele Alli has been consistently excellent all season

Bollox.

I think the fact it is his first season in the PL will have some influence. He has outperformed general expectations, and in the YPOTY I think there is more room to celebrate breakthrough players ahead of more seasoned (but still classed as young) players.
The main award should be for who has performed best in the league, but the YPOTY not neccessairly the best eligible performer

posted on 13/4/16

Alli has only started 26 games for a start.

Kane has started 33 and knocked in 22 goals!

When you make stuff up what goes through your mind?

Bale won both awards so your insane explanation of what constitutes the best young player in the league doesn't make sense.

The best defender in the team that has conceded the fewest goals in the league, and Alderweireld isn't in there?

That's pretty crazy.

Also Huth could feel disappointed not to be on that list.

Ozil and Payet, both very good and have had periods of being excellent, but neither justify being on that list ahead of Alderweireld or Huth if you ask me.
