West Ham didn't spend it, the LLDC did. West Ham spent £15m or 0.42 Andy Carrolls.
You have to applaud West Ham for getting such a good deal, but it does make you wonder if there has been some naughtiness somewhere along the way. With competition to occupy, surely the LLDC will have used the parties against each other to secure a good deal, unless incentivised otherwise.

pissssed it all away on a soulless athletics dome with awful spectator experience
then again, you wouldn't expect west ham to ever do anything good would you !?

galv I went to the west ham 2 - 3 spurs game where bale scored that winner..... considering its their cup final, the atmosphere was terrible.
I thought pikey park was meant to be a noisy ground?!
they have about 200 squmbag fans near the away fans who make a little bit of noise, and the other 30k muppets sit their in silence.
only time the whole ground made some noise was for the goals or for "stand up if you hate Tottenham"
The pitch is designed to be that distance from the seats......makes it difficult to watch the dross they serve up
its probably to give you a panorama view of the hoofball without having to strain your necks
So you haven't been there then chronic?

no, why would I have been there?
But you are telling us what the inside of it looks like. I have actually been there and it isn't even finished yet.
What part of it looks lame op? It's stunning. Thanks for your help with the costs
They (West Ham) are required to give away 100,000 tickets a season.
That's a lot of money they are sacrificing. 100,000 kids for a quid equals £100,000

cant be maf... the answer was correct
West Ham selling their soul like Arsenal did.
You have Barry hearn to thank for our glorious cheap deal. Originally we were going to buy it outright ourselves until he stepped in
Dull, boring article. What's more it simply strikes of jealously.
What they are not doing is selling 100,000 tickets that they have to give away.
The best thing about the extension to 60,000 from 54,000 is it more than covers our contractually agreement to give 100,000 seats a season to the community. And being as we don't pay for stewarding or any ancillary expenses it doesn't cost West Ham a penny.
