Good luck, get rid of the donkeys and find players who actually have a heart.

Was thinking about that today and who drops. If Sunderland and Newcastle with no disrespect to Norwich do then getting back appears even harder,
This sure was the year not to go down Mr Lerner....... Bournemouth Watford Middlesboro Brighton Burnley one other promoted.......
We have proved we are shiite but with some investment even in January the chances of staying up next year would appear better than this
Too true; after Garde took the applauded step of shoving Gabby out of sight and relegating Richards to the bench he had to be backed. Not doing so was a public execution. No wonder he was bitter
Anyway, that's history. It's now all about the future. The two extreme possibilities at the moment are that a manager is lined up and is about to come in, and the club are still thinking about things and have not yet approached anybody. The media seem to assume the latter, but I'd be very surprised.
I'd like to see Moyes in by Monday. Why Moyes? Partly because he's a very experienced manager, and has a good track record (forget about Man U; the club only got in one of the signings he asked for). Plus it would be a statement of intent by the club, which matters a huge amount, both in getting rid of the toxic atmosphere and encouraging the right players to look at us.
I'm fine with Pearson, who would also be a catch. On balance though for me Moyes would be first choice.

Commiserations. You have some good lads on your board and have put up with me over the years
Thanks Chronic we wont be going away
McP I agree mate but with that yank comedian I fear for the future
Hopefully you guys get shut of the Yank owner who clearly knows sweet FA about football, dust yourselves down, get the right people in and start again.
Going to miss the most played fixture, we've had some cracking games over the years, rarely a boring game between us.
It's going to be tough for you but we should see you back in the Prem the season after next.
Bye for now, and good luck..!

Sorry to see Villa go down.
These things happen. The club has a decent setup for home grown players so hope the deadwood is released and these players are given a shot.

what absolute dogsh*** , let them rot. :D
Delighted for that arrogant, self opinionated ex Birmingham Road butcher, Deadly Doug Ellis. Couldn't happen to a more deserving twot.
No big team from Birmingham in the PL will be a big loss.
Not here to wum; as they say, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
I doubt there were too many Villa fans genuinely grieving yesterday- it must have been like watching the prolonged decline of a close relative- relief was probably a more appropriate feeling (which is fine if you're a fan- not quite as understandable in the case of Lescott however.
Massive, massive changes needed at VP now though. 16 points is truly awful - half that of the team in 17th place - and a consistent tendency, throughout the season( since the 3-2 Leicester game), to wave the white flag once the first goal goes in clearly shows that the team lacks the battlers needed for the more physical game in the Championship.
I'd like to say 'enjoy the summer break', but there's still 4 games to endure for you lot and I doubt that the absence of the pressure that's been there for the last few months will make up for a team very much lacking in talent and fight.
Anyway, its all been said a million times over, so there's not much point going on.
S^^t happens, as they say.
think its gonna be tough for villa in the championship
that league looks horrible. so hard to get out of it
i will come and visit on the championship board.
Right manager in with his own staff, get rid of deadwood, parachute payment (large enough sum) ? to buy new players then why not be slightly optimistic. Might take a year or 2 but have a good chance.
