Think he was spot on with a lot of what he said but he doesn't seem to have the tactful way of approaching things
from an outsiders point of view, this has been a long time coming, fact is villa dont have any PL quality players, and were always going down. I dont no what SC expected to be honest. This villa side is so bad, easily one of the two worst that has ever been in the PL. no amount of fight and passion and whatever wiull make up for the total lack of ability the players in that squad have. They dont even have a championship quiality squad by the looks of it.
you say that stretty but they are full of ex and current internationals.
SC probably goes ott with his comments, hence why he works with Talksheit, but he is a Villain through and through.
Villa look in a far worse state than Wolves did when they did the 'double drop'. You've only got to look at the bottom 7 in the Championship to see that it's not going to be easy to avoid Div3.
Blackburn
Forest
Fulham
Charlton
Bolton
...all in there
Players like agbonlahor, lexcott, sinclair, richards, n zogbia are all past there use by date at this level.
they are literally a squad full of bad players for one reason or another.

I have to disagree about Collymore. He is one leopard who will never change his spots. His rantings on Talksport are rich coming from an ex-professional who wasted much of his own career, most notably at Liverpool. He has caused problems wherever he has been, and Talksport is the perfect vehicle for him to give an opinion on anything under the sun without having to take any responsibility or do anything about it. He's one of these people who is long on criticising but short on solutions. If I were a Villa fan, I wouldn't want him anywhere near the running of my club. It would just be a matter of time before he caused upset and instability.
o.p. "DISRESPECTING PLAYERS!" Oh! The poor souls.
Collymore was correct in everything he said. You could hear and feel the emotion and love for the Club in his voice.
What about the Players and the Club disrespecting ther fans.
Disgraceful ownership, management and Administration.
Tough luck Villa Fans. From a True Blue Evertonian.

Hows it the players fault they arent good enough.
The hierachy must take a good portion of theblame for selling players and replacing them with league one standard players.
most notably at Liverpool.
he had issues at liverpool but on the pitch was good there tbh.
ironically at villa he was about as useful as much of there players that have just gone down, he was attrocious.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And just like Villa, Wolves also threw their PL status away by not having enough PL-quality players. They also made or persisted with hopeless managerial appointments and, lo and behold, League One was where they ended up. Wolves have a delusional owner who has now had enough and has put his club up for sale. Lots of parallels with Villa.
Stretty. Because the players themselves seem to think they are more than good enough in their own minds.

Their 2015 summer recruitment was their undoing. Too many players, especially from Ligue 1 in France, who just weren't up to it.

WTF? Number 1, how do you know this? N0.2 even if they do, doesnt make a difference to how good they actually are.
ridiculous comment tbh.

He's dead right. Flabby Gabby is a disgrace, he is meant to be Villa through and through and we've given him chance after chance to sort himself out. We needed him this season - a lean, pacy, motivated Gabby could have added 10 goals and maybe enough points that we wouldn't humiliate ourselves. But for our club captain to be off getting high in London (again) on the day of our relegation, and unselectable because he's so fat, is a disgrace.
Lescott has just been a disaster. We needed to replace Ron Vlaar and before Lescott turned up we had a decent partnership between Ciaran Clark and Jores Okore (Neither world beaters but both care and put in a good shift). Lescott waltzed into the team and has been absolutely diabolical, not to mention that he claims he is "relieved we're down". The man hasn't been good for 5 years.
Collymore goes over the top to make dramatic points and get angry punters to call in, but he's cleverer than idiots like Durham or Gough. He has the club's best interests at heart and I'd give him some kind of role at the club. People still go on about what happened with him and Ulrika which was disgusting, but it was many years ago and I believe people can change and should be forgiven for their mistakes.
The way things are at the moment with board members resigning, Stan could do no worse job - realistically we are at rock bottom and things cannot possibly get worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've got news for you mate. It can get a lot worse. Look at City in the late 90s. Leeds more recently. Portsmouth went into free fall and I'm pretty sure Southampton slid down the divisions too.
It's a slippery slope, especially when the club as a whole is in a mess.

It's always been his off the pitch behaviour which has let him down.
Law of averages means that if you spray bullets around a few will hit the target. Wouldn't want Colly anywhere near the club. I'm fed up with ex players making a mint by running down those still active in football. Some ex-football commentators are worth listening to; a lot are just filling column inches for money, every bit as mercenary as the players they accuse of being.

your comment made no sense. and most people have said there players just wernt good neough. You mean to tell me there players have not tried all season? they literally lost all those games because they wernt trying. lol
I’d be more than happy to give Stan a role at the Club. He’s been a complete idiot in the past but he knows it. If ever there was an example of wasted talent, Stan’s the man, and behind his rants at our players there is, what appears to be, a genuine concern over the transgressions of our local boys, in particular. He seems desperate to impart his experience on those who clearly need it. ‘This is where I went wrong. Don’t make the mistakes I made’.
Stan has a platform to make a difference and he uses it. He is a very good commentator - knowledgeable, excitable and surprisingly articulate - but the success of his career always takes a back seat when it comes to the Villa. Our Club is his priority and that has, already, cost him in terms of his media opportunities.
This weekend, he has pleaded with the Club to allow him to speak to our owner. Stan has a sensible suggestion regarding the future of our Club and he has offered to fly to the USA, at his own expense, to discuss this with the owner.
He is a fan, just like the rest of us. He is hurting as much as we are. He is as angry and as upset as the rest of us are. When I hear him on his show, he publicises exactly what most of us are thinking. These players need to know the anger that we feel towards them. They need to know that we recognise their lack of effort and the contempt with which they treat us. There is nobody at our Club controlling these players or voicing the opinions of the supporters. To have somebody like Stan, on board, would be a massive addition.
Everyone has their own opinion but I, for one, am very grateful that he is on our side.
