I haven't seen the goal but generally the last attacking player to touch the ball before it crosses the line is awarded it. So if that was the case, then Sturridge would have a valid claim.

This , plus Studge was captain for my fantasy football so should have got it .

I don't see why a deflection off an attacker should be any different to a deflection off a defender.

As long as the initial shot is on target it should be that players goal.

Only if the shot wasn't on target should any deflection count.

Its the team's goal.
