TBH Lanza, Luke is looking so good in that position he may well get a chance to play there in the Euro's this summer.
It does look like his natural position.
I don't think we will be lucky enough to have him with us next season, whether we go down or not.
As u know i have always rated him highly.
Very level headed for a young player.
Comfortable on the ball.
And looks for a pass.
I know I'm only watching highlights, or occasionally the full game, but I've always liked Luke, although he was often played out of position. I agree with Hound that it is unlikely we can keep him. If that is the case, let us hope he goes to Euro 2016 and does really well and drives up his value.
Walsall are beating Shrewsbury 2-0 at half time.
Final score 2-1 to Walsall, Shrewsbury have 50 points and a goal difference of -17, we have 45 points and a goal difference of -14. It's getting tight at the bottom.
Shrewsbury have to play Peterborough at home and Swindon away.
Chesterfield too have hard games bury home Bradford away. Fleetwood have Walsall away and crewe at home. Blackpool play Wigan at home then Peterborough away.
Could it be fergies old team helps us out???
Assuming we can win our last 2, we need 2 out of 4 teams to fall short; Blackpool and Fleetwood must not get more than 50 points, but we can afford for Chesterfield and Shrewsbury to get one more point (51) because their goal differences will be worse than ours. .
We could tolerate Blackpool getting 4 points from 6 leaving them on 50 and Fleetwood cannot go beyond 50 because of their excellent GD.
So we contemplate the chances of Rovers winning 2 games in succession against 2 out of 4 fellow strugglers losing 2 or gaining just a point from each of their remaining two games with Blackpool "allowed" a single additional win too..
I think that the chances of 2 of the 4 failing to gain more than a single point are fairly strong. However whether Rovers will have the ability and share of good fortune to get their 6 points is the question. I suspect that it is statistically less likely, but so was the 17 game winless run when good fortune was noticeably absent.
We just have to have faith that our recent fine form will carry us through.
