You could bring Wimmer in alongside Toby & move Verts up into midfield.

Failing that I think Lamela in Dele's position & either Son or Chadli as well.

All we need is 4 points to guarantee second place & finishing above our friends down the road.

He's not injured, just not match fit, he'll be back in contention next season

Not sure what's happened with Clinton tbh.

If Dier is out, personally I'd go with Dembele and Bentaleb.

I'd like to Lamela moved in the 10 position in Alli's absence, with Son coming in, but have no problem with Eriksen doing so and Chadli coming in either.

If we have the top 3 place wrapped up, I'd like to see Lamela given an experimental game in Dembele's position, with Dier in central midfield.

no time to experiment imo

if we don't go on and finish second (and above arsenal ) then we have totally facked this up.

plus we shouldn't experiment until the title is mathetically impossible.

I couldn't care less for 2nd or 3rd.

Experimenting in preseason is of little value. I'd like to see Lamela there in a competitive environment.

I'd sacrifice posdibly finishing below Arsenal if it mean our positional transfer targets for next year could be refined, money funneled towards other places, and a better chance next season

why though?

I think the club would feel quite deflated if after the supposedly fantastic season we have had, we didn't even make the top 2... and if we finish below arsenal yet again then that that will do nothing for our mentality.

infact the more I think about it, the more we really must get runners up at least this season

2nd is nothing to me.

The only one I want to avoid is 4th. Playoff, or the doomsday scenario - missing out completely.

Obviously I'd like to finish above Arsenal, but it's not essential to me.
