Never heard any racism toward Khan and Fury made a rod for his own back with some of his comments, nothing to do with his heritage.

people abuse Fury because he's a monumental beIIend, not because he's a Gypsy
Bullsheet . Have you ever been to America ?
Fury's just a gobsheite I pay no attention to anything he says to be honest
people don't tend to like massive homophobes
Don't think Khan received any racism from the media. He is well liked by the media and something the likes of Froch and Brook envy but some of the general public on the other hand
I generally don't recall any racism towards Amir...maybe I have blinkers on...but if someone can give me an example it'd help

Khan faced a lot of racism on boxing boards, and was judged more harshly and never received the love from the media like Hatton got or many other British fighters.
Same goes for Fury.

Yes, and they like winners.
You don't get fans at their sports stadiums chanting racist abuse as well.

Frank Bruno beat up his wife, but that made him well loved by the British public.

Some of the comments in this thread kinda prove my point.
You obviously haven't seen that press conference
I find him entertaining to watch pre-fights, but he hasn't helped himself with some of his comments over the years.
I like Fury, I like Khan. I don't like racism or discrimination etc. Britain has problems with racism and other forms of arbitrary discrimination (of which Fury is a complex victim and perpetrator himself).
However, the USA is a well know hotbed of racial and religious tension, hatred and violence (including prominent state violence) and “class warfare” to quote Warren Buffet. Fury or Khan's heritage will not be celebrated or used as a stick to beat them with. In America the only thing that counts is their ability to make money. America ain't a country, its a business

Yet despite Iron Mike's homophobic, racist and sexist comments he was appreciated by Britain and the fans
I'll also be watching Khan's fight, and I hope he wins

Good points, it how much money they can generate, and they won't be hated for being successful.
In Britain it is about knowing your place, like all the stick Khan got for not fighting British champions, and that he had to earn some right to be accepted, and if he ever got cocky they hate would begin. But Froch, Calzaghe and Hatton could all have a huge ego and not have to rein it in.
Tbf tho Froch has been extensively slated on these boards coz of his ego. I suspect you're right about Hatton and Calzaghe
