IPL...That great help to get England to within an over if the T20 trophy...

County Championship will forever be my favourite.

However the more modern and part time cricket fans enjoy the drama of T20 so we must accept the past that now plays. Financially IPL is far more important.

Maybe financially, but the home page is plastered with one IPL match when you have 7 or 8 county championship matches going on with most of the current England team playing.

I have no time for either..Untill the championship goes to 5 day and 8 teams i will be more interested..theres to many games and to many draws.. I hate draws in longer games..
I have no interest in IPL either.. Half of its corrupt and its just slap bang wallop

The county championship in its current format is dead. One man and his dog is watching it. The counties survive on the sky money and T20.

Regarding IPL, it has hurt us lot more than help especially our test team. Our idiot Dhoni has been supporting useless players from his IPL team. We are not good in ODIs too and just mediocre in T20. Real cricket fans from India know the facts and it's mainly pure entertainment for folks there.

However it has helped foreign players filling their pockets and helped their game too. In short, I don't care for IPL and if it is scrapped then in a long run it would benefit us..

if county championship went to 5 days. would be better to produce better spinner. They would get move overs thats for sure.. If teams went in with 4 bowlers.. The spinner would first learn how to be economical and secondly to be able to preform on 4/5 day pitches. and be hopefully more conducive to spin..
Pakistani and indian spinners tend to more talented because they get to bowl more often at a early age..

@England.. I don't knw abt Pakistani spinners but I can give my 2cents on Indian spinners. The current ones are totally useless overseas and at home just OK! After Kumble, Bhajji at his prime, we don't have match winning spinners. U can see our recent record by Jaddu, Ashwin!

In fact, we have the worst bowling line up in test playing Nations. Thanks to Dhoni and his weird selections too. His name should be changed to "Dhobi".

Right now i would agree India dont have great spinners.. England have none.. I think its to do with conditions of the pitches.. India spinners are use to bowling on turners. In england they play 4 day games and spinners are a second thought..Swann was a class spinner..He took years in country cricket to learn his trade.

U won't get Swann quality type spinner soon. If u remember last time when ur team toured to India even Monty ripped up our famed batting line up

So Moeen or Rashid can do the same next time as we are very weak test team. All in all, thanks but no thanks to bloody IPL!

I have got sky sports switched on for the summer cricket season.. my goodness i just switched over to see the IPL for a few seconds.. that bowlers action.. Does he model himself on Paul Adams the frog in a blender?? anyway if he carries on bowling like that for a long period.. his arm will come flying off..

am no fan of 20/20 as people may well know..But if you wanna make the English 20/20 tournament better. why are they starting the comp in may instead of mid july?. when the weathers usually warmer and drier..
