That's been your target for the past twenty years.
I said yesterday if we bottle 2nd then I'm giving up with football....spurs are truly cursed.
What's your highest points total?

72 points. We're 2 off it. Could still come second without getting there.
Beat Southampton and we kill 3 birds with 2nd, St Totteringham, and PL points record.
Yes, one more win, any win, and we've done it.
However both games are going to be tricky with both having something to play for and in fairly good form. Alli out and possibly others too. Though I thought I heard Townsend could be out for the Newcastle match, which is good cause he's bound to score past us.
Southampton are playing decent ATM and will be a tough game.
Could be without so many important players too
Alli
Toby
Dembele
Lamela
Rose
70 points really isn't that much.
I know we got 72 points under Avb a few seasons ago and we finished 5th but its a different premier league now.
The teams below us are much stronger. Other premier league winners have finished with far more points than Leicester.
Even if we finish the season on 71 points its still been a far far better season than the one under AVB.
We have scored more, conceded far less and were a much better rounded side.
Its all about where you finish position wise.

Sure. I'd still like to finish with the highest points tally just to cement beyond all reasonable doubt that this has been our best ever PL season. And this team with its best defence and best goal difference should be achieving that.

Totally agree mate, I'm a bit worried about Southampton next Sunday.
I watched their game against City and although City rested many players, the Saints took advantage brilliantly and were superb.
Mane is on fire and Long will cause us problems.
I think Rose will be ok, he was involved in the huge scuffle at the end of the game, he can't be that badly injured.
Dembele will be a huge miss as will Toby, he dosent go down easily and it could be a bad one.
Fortunately i still think 1 more point will secure us 2nd because of the City- Arsenal game.

Well it will be more than any other club bar one has managed this season. And far, far better than 50 odd.

Yes mate, City will probably be knocked out against Real Madrid tomorrow.
The Arsenal game will then be huge for them as they would want to finish 3rd to guarantee group stages in the champs league.
Plus they will want to put a show on for their fans in their last home game.

reasonable options in midfield...!?
hope ya don't mean mason....he was fackin dreadful last night.
If Spurs have to make four or five changes, then I don`t see a win, every time they have made those changes this season, they have usually lost. Think Spurs may have to rely on City beating Arsenal, which frankly is not very reliable at all. City have not beaten any of the top teams this season. This would be so typically Arsenal finish above Spurs last game of the season. They could not have hand picked an easier game to finish with Villa at home. Spurs have just about the worse away game at this time of the season they could pick, a team who will be absolutely desperate for a result to stay in the division. The Gods have conspired against Spurs again.
Mason, Carroll and Son to try to get a win last two games. FFS we are doomed.

Told you that you would bottle it.
I don't care for either the record points or finishing above Arsenal. Neither are any value to us at this point.
I'd rather give CCV and maybe KWP their wings, and give the likes or Njie some minutes to see if we can rely on any next season if need be.
