The home side simply had far too much quality in attack for the Stoke defence. The away side were set up hard to beat, their tactics worked well for a while as the Chelsea midfield struggled to find that killer ball against a well drilled defence. In the end Chelsea had the quality and Stoke caused them few problems at the other end.

This game was much of a stalemate. The home side's solid shape and in particular two dms made it difficult for the away team to break quickly while the away sides' initial press didn't work too well they were extremley difficult to break down and were unfortunate to concede at all. The addition of Ozil and creativty higher up the field for Newcastle made a difference, Ludy then tried to send a 12th man on but luckily the officials spotted this. A narrow loss for Welshy as they almost had an answer for Newcastle's quality.

Obviously, if I was to sell a player in my squad who's got a lot of potential for an academy player at Chelsea I'd want the best one given that there's only been 2 in what 20 years that have established themselves, its a huge risk.

And never said Waltion was a huge downgrade, but its not worthwhile to swap Woodman for him and 5m
