Bellamy won't play against Stoke, you need the height.

Expect to see Kuyt and Carroll up front with Suarez coming on later

Bubbles. We the need the height at the back but Bellamy and Suarez could do the job.

Well I expect Suarez and Carrol to start and then Bellamy to come off the bench. Kuyt could be rested after helping Holland to beat San Marino 11-0. He scored and the subed. Van Parsie was excellent. He netted four and set up three others.

I expect to see Suarez and Carroll start too. Bellamy on for Suarez later on maybe.

Steal of the window that signing........Bellamy for 3/5ths of f..k all.
Had a stunning season for us with a bit of quality about him......as he will now have at your place.

A very cute cookie that little jock of yours.....think ur nailed on for top 4.
3 out of 4 C/L places to the N/West.

Not looking good for London.

Dont know what the hype is with Bellamy. This guy is a proper b3ll-3nd and is NOT a LFC player.
If he was so good, why haven't Arsenal/Chavski/Utd, etc signed him on a free?
He's on £90K+ per week and stincks of Owen at Utd all over and seems a bit of desperation creeping in on the last day of the window.
Fully expect him to try and disturb Kenny's applecart

Bellamy has taken a huge decrese in pay and he would of had to have moved anywhere

Because they didn't really need another striker perhaps?

He was a a red when he was a lad.

Still, I do still some reservations regards his attitude, but Kenny is the right man to get the best out of him I reckon.

So a very cheap signing who is of high quality* for a 4th choice striker (probably down to 5th choice now) outside of maybe Ballotelli at City (though you wouldn't want that guy at your club) I can't think of a better prem striker that low down the pecking order... possibly chelsea depending who you could include as strikers...

I honestly think David N'Gog offered more to us than Michael Owen has to United

HE will probably be perfecting his golf swing for use indoors.

You could have said we needed the height v Bolton, only if we were going to try and repel their attacks, kenny is wiser than that, he went with a mobile forward line. Same as what should happen v Stoke. Theyll come expecting a physical battle v Carroll but will get lots of movement pulling their defence all over the place.

Stoke have made their successes through organised set ups. The trick is to get them disorganised.

Don't agree with you gurdev, Bellamy while over 30 still has terrific movement, ok his attitude is suspect, but as long as he applies himself on the pitch I'm ok with that.

We needed another attacker and we've got an experienced one.

I'm sure we will spend again in the January window so I wouldnt worry too much.

Arsenal got benayoun, what of it? I dare say Bellamy will be much more effective than the Jewish maradona.

N'gog would struggle to get a hat trick in the Europa league let alone the Champions League.... Also I doubt he would ever win you a game against City in the dieing moments with his great movement...

posted on 3/9/11

True that, but he might find space on the edge of the box before cooling slotting into the corner in the dying moments of a game against Man United.

Oh dear lord, I'm defending N'Gog. What is the World coming to

posted on 3/9/11

Are you seriously suggesting N'Gog is more talented than Owen ?!

I now you don't like him because he's at United and what he did to Liverpool but N'Gog hasn't got half the ability Owen has

posted on 3/9/11

----------

That would be ridiculous to suggest, after what Owen did earlier in his career (at Liverpool!).

Now Owen is just a squad player and doesn't have the pace that was his weapon. Bellamy on the other hand is still quick, more versatile and more of a danger than Owen is now, so I would say Liverpool have a better squad option upfront now.

posted on 3/9/11

Don't get me wrong I never stated Owen to be better than Bellamy, Owen is the better finisher (probably the better movement as well) but Bellamy makes up for that with his all round game....

Certainly when he was at City he was a really good player and better than Owen is now, although I do wonder how much of his ability he has lost since then... not much judging solely on the Wales game...

It is a bit of an unfair comparison as Owen is well further down in the pecking order than Bellamy at Liverpool... Berbatov, Welbeck or Hernandez would be a fairer comparison for their squad place...
