There's one particular image and piece of commentary from that day I can never forget. Awful tragedy.
I was at a similarly out dated stadium at Carrow Road that day. I was too young to to comprehend what had happened until we was listening to the radio on the way home.
It really was 'by the grace of god' that it didn't happen at any other ground.
Locked fire exits? Did anyone get convicted for that?
Absolutely horrific.

I went to two matches that day ironically...
Stoke v Chelsea at victoria - Chelsea won 1-0 (Speedy I think)
then went to West Brom v Goonz (2-2)
The go to video for fire lectures for the next 20 years...awful business

Chelsea game was 11:30 KO (don't recall why)
I have to do the firemarshal course every couple of years and they show the video, that policeman pulling a man out of the stand even though his own hair is on fire.
A brave man.
Truly horrifying.
