Not a particularly great goal technically but one that made me leap about like a lunatic was Crouchies winner at City to qualify for CL. We were away, at the end of a hard run of games which most pundits gave us no chance of winning, and we did it.

Sizz he also scored a cracker against Notts county in the FA cup not to mention the England goal in Euro 96

Keane vs Chelsea in 2008 strikes a chord with me as it was one of the few games I've been to. Went mad as it went in and I wasn't day too far away from those chaaaav rodents so managed to taunt them before they snuck out back into the gutters they came from

Keane against Chels was not only a real cracker but it just meant so much to the fans

I loved VDV's goal v Villa away a few years ago. We were down to ten men, but Bale and Lennon broke on a counter attack and Rafa finished it off beautifully. Was a great team goal

Loved this thread....Every time somebody mentions a different goal I remember it and it brings a big smile to my face

Huddlestone pinged in some quality goals. His strike at the Etihad in 06/07 and at WHL vs Arsenal in 2011 Spring to mind. Such a technically gifted player but....

Thudd was a top player apart from being slow and fat.....Hmmmm that's harsh but he never fulfilled his potential
