Must admit I don't watch the IPL due to the absolute waffle the bowlers produce, but having read the stats of Kohli & AB de Villiers partnerships in the last 2 matches:115 from 11.1 overs...229 from 16 overs...Total: 344 from 27.1 overs... Credit where it's due whatever format it's in...
How do you get him out? Play in England?
Careful, the Englishmen will all be on here in a minute claiming he's overhyped because he once failed in his first ever tour here against the swinging ball.
Kohli is by far the best limited overs batsman in the world at the moment and if India had a few better batsmen to solidify their team around, they would have easily won the T20 World Cup. Shame he solely carries the whole Indian batting unit. As you mention, he is an absolute nightmare because he is very strong in every area plus I have honestly never seen a fitter Indian Cricketer - it's incredible.
His Test record is the best but he showed against the Aussies what he is capable of with those blistering centuries and I expect him to amend that record as well. Bold claim but I honestly feel at the end of his career, he will go down as the best limited overs batsman ever especially when it comes to chasing.
I don't think it matters where Kohli plays, he may have had a bad tour in England once but 90% of the time he is absoloutely lethal! Why can't Pakistan produce a decent batsman like that. Not had one for bloody ages!
He seems to be doing well in domestic cricket
How do you get him out? Play him in England.

This.
Got to admit he's been ridiculous this year though.
He has everything ti kick on and really be the worlds finest.
Most of his international Centuries have come outside of India, which is a great sign.
England - Most Sub continent batsmen struggle here, especially in swinging conditions. Time will tell. He could go on and , dare I say, be mentioned in the same breath as Tendulkar, who was one of few Indian Batsmen who did well against England.
Well said Arsenal.. But hope we get a bowler like Wasim Akram! Just one of my many wishes in my bucket list.. Hope soon he takes over as limited overs captain from Dhobi. Have u seen Dhobi's form in IPL this year along with his weird captain ship! For me winning the series matter more than personal milestones.
Fact taker can't believe how bad Dhonis team have been doing in the IPL. I think they have lost 8 of 11 games. They have had big players missing like KP but still would have expected better. I still rate him very highly but he has been India captain for a long time so maybe now would be an ideal time for change.
Kohli is a far better match winner than Tendulkar ever was. Some of the innings he has already played in his career are ridiculous.
He a freaking amazing player and has been on fire in the IPL. Could reach 1000 runs in the IPL if they get to the final. Its a shame the RCB bowlers are complete dog chite and Starc is injured though Jordan done well after a rocky start.
I still feel that he was want to become one of the greatest he needs to spend at least half a season playing county cricket. If he gets used to english conditions he would on another level.
Tendulkar had far more class though and he was always very professional and never had this cocky attitude. That's something Kohli needs to learn.
Brash and cocky yes, but with the extraordinary talent to back it up. Every sport needs its characters.
He should be more humble like the likes of Tendulkar and Stephen Hendry who in there respective Sports are the greatest of all time.
Ridiculous how you can even compare sachin and Kohli... No comparison (yet!).... Virat is produced the runs against some very very ordinary and cheap bowlers in the IPL. He's done well on international scene, but even then look at bowlers in tendulkars era compared to what you have now....
Why so? Not everyone is a robot who functions in the same way to someone else. Cricket needs it Tendulkars, Cooks and Athertons but it also needs its Kohlis, Starcs and Gayles. In the same way Snooker has Hendry but it also needs a Ronnie O'Sullivan.
There just isn't any need for a Cricket player to be so cocky and annoy people constantly though is there. Cricket is also supposed to be know as a gentleman's game. That's just my opinion on it and why I prefer Tendulkar.
You seem to not like characters in the sport full stop. Very odd.
Not really, it's called personal preference, I don't just follow the crowd I have my own mind. I've just never liked Kohli but I can still admit he's one of the best players in the world. I've always admired Tendulkar though a true Sports great and a gentleman and this is coming from a Pakistan fan.
With regards to Snooker I grew up a Hendry fan, followed the game all because of him, I've never liked Ronnie, even in like late 90s when he wasn't dominating there was always something about him I've never liked. However I absoloutely despise Mark Selby. But I'm not going to bore everyone to death on a Cricket forum mentioning my hatred towards a Snooker player
Give over kav... Arsenal49 just has an issue with the likes of Mark selby and Kohli - but doesn't mind tendulkars and Ronnies of this world...
Shtttt, Arsenal49 on a rampage again about Mark selby... This could get ugly
How anyone can dislike Ronnie is beyond me... Guy is class.
Mickey arthur's cornered tigers I take it you saw my comments on the Snooker World Championship thread there was one user on there that kept defending Selby which forced me into going on a mad rampage.
He's taking apart Punjabs bowlers as I type. Ridiculous hitting again.
Finally he's out 113 of 50 balls. Absolutely incredible hitting. Would have quite enjoyed that innings had it not been against Punjab.
Lol just gone and banged number 4
