Ok. How would you rate his tenure ? Clear, 1st season very close to title but all went downhill after sale of Suarez
I think he's an excellent manager and the football is great to watch.
He has a stubborn streak about sticking with things too long that aren't working, but he then finds something unconventional that leads to a 3 month blinding run of form.
IMO, he got sacked because we had no fit strikers for a season and change, not because he wasn't good enough.
Suarez was bought by Kenny, Rodgers signed Coutinho and Sturridge - he also signed some crap.
I think he'll do ok as long as he's learned from the mistakes he made.
Our attacking play some of the best I've seen in thirty odd years, our defending however was some of the worst and I've seen some of the teams Souness put out.

Fair points. But surely criminal to squander half of Suarez cash on Brnteke in much the same way alrnny squandered Torres cash on Carrol

For every Torres there's a Carrol, for every Suarez there's a Benteke.
Carrol was a panic buy at end of transfer window. Bentwke was just a stupid buy. Seems like a clone of Heskey. But less talented ! (Tongue firmly in cheek)
I think he was only sacked because Klopp was available.
He will do well at Celtic, but so would anyone really. At least you will get some cringeworthy sound bites for ammo.

Id be surprised if they can afford him tbh. Obviously he's outta work but by taking the Celtic gig he's setting his salary threshold low for future bargaining positions. Itll be a massive cut compated to what he was on at Liverpool. No idea what he earned there but would hazard a guess at £100k a week. Celtic typically £500k A YEAR for managers....so seems still unlikely as far as i can see.

Half of Celtic fans support Liverpool, half support Man U. Half of Rangers fans support Man U, half support Liverpool. Rodgers did a decent job some of the time at Liverpool, some of the time not. Who mocks who on this one? Ireland/Norn Iron confuses me.
Not sure wages are such a big issue to him as we gave him a massive pay off. Celtic may be prepared to pay more than they have done recently and BR may also lower his demands.
Also, BR hasn't won a trophy yet and (no offence) he's got a great chance in the Scottish Premiership.

He got found out. Out of his depth in European level and can not get a team to defend. Klopp in his 3 quarter season has managed 2 finals and beaten top 4 teams away from home. Something br could not do in his 3 years. Good manager but if celtic want to progress in Europe not the right man
