Ref didn't have an adverse effect on last nights game. At worst, you could say he fell for the Spanish play acting on a few occasions, but overall did ok. He even booked a couple of their players for time wasting.
I think you need to let it go
It's not like there's the endless stream of top level referees. Referees get it wrong, you can't help that with 22 players on the pitch and lots of different rules not many that are entirely clear and often just seconds to make multiple decisions.
It's not the quality of refereeing that we should be questioning, it's the lack of help they are given to do their job.
Unless we bring in a video ref, plenty of mistakes will be made.

i had to explain to someone on facebook last night about the 3rd goal, he was going off on one how the ref was in their pocket.
he didnt realise you couldnt be offside if the opposition player plays the ball.

Yeah I only thought the one decision was wrong really and I'm not sure it had an effect on the game. It's pretty hard for them.
The very thought of finding fault in the ref defies belief. Yeah, he made decisions that went against us, but he made some to our advantage too.

Yep I noticed this, looked like handball but they didn't mention the trip.
Believe the general consensus of opinion was the referee had a good game last night.
Other than the Firmino handball/foul which I thought was a pen, he got pretty much everything else right.

I've read all the comments ( which I respect ) on here and majority said he the referee had a good game I believe you thousands wouldn't and for the ref to have a good game what about the time the defender had his left hand and stopped the ball going to Sturridge a blind man can see that.

Chelsea weren't playing
I'd no complaints with the ref, maybe the 3rd handball shout could have been given but I'd have been annoyed if it was given against us.
A 50/50s we won got blown up, but the ref overall was decent and it was a great spot for their 3rd goal.
I don't think the ref had that good a game. Not saying he was biased or did anything out of the ordinary but I felt that we deserved at least one pen.
