Personally, I think it's a good idea. 24 teams in a league is just a bit too many.

I'm not opposed to it in principle, but would much prefer to see an 18 team PL.

I think it could make a big difference to the success of PL teams in Europe.

But it'll clearly never happen, for financial reasons.

Yeah, with more leagues, that's more rounds of playoffs and other assorted coverage.

Additionally, it promotes 6 more teams from "non-league" which can only be good for those lower clubs.

It's not being put to PL teams... it is to be judged by the current 92 FL teams, of which 65 would have to vote in favour.

Less chance of falling out of the league though which can only be good. Plus 6 extra teams would be 'pro'
