Is this a champions league quality signing?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No
He's good but inconsistent and certainly not great.
Could be a useful squad member ,his better than Tom Carroll .
Wanyama not Champions League quality? Someone better tell Iniesta
What is CL standard, you tell me. Leicester are in the CL next season, so is Robert Huth and Wes Morgan CL standard.
Lot of so called CL standard players, who are absolute rubbish. Look at Di Maria, he was complete cack when he came over, as was Falcao. Fancy names and that is about it.
He'll boss most midfields but put your money on at least 8 yellows and a couple of reds during the season.
very logical good signing, knows the pl, knows poch, can play in his system, very aggressive player who can also play, happy if true

our record wasn't t bad last year, I would rather have a team who don't get pushed around and bullied like most spurs teams I have grown up with, nothing wrong with controlled aggression, Wanayma does pick up a lot of bookings but in his position that's his role to be aggressive. I like him, just a word of caution though, he does give the ball away a lot and our home fans are not the most patient of beings
decent replacement for Ryan Mason. I don't think he is starting 11 material though.

Very good signing if true and a direct replacement for Eric Dier if he were to get injured. Could also play with Eic Dier at the start of the season whilst Dembele is suspended. Now for a striker baldy.

Given the number of typos in the article, the hilarious lack of credibility of the "source" and the fact that Wanyama is actually almost 25 (and not 23 like the article says), I'm inclined not to count any chickens
look obv we crossed the line at Chelsea, but that was one of the first times in recent history that I have seen us stand up to Chelsea rather than rolling over taking it up the tail and getting stuffed 3-4 nil

I agree, he wouldn't displace any of our current starting 11. So as we are trying to improve, I can't get excited by this.
I know we need squad players, but he'd likely be expensive, and we have a very good youth set up that could bolster the squad (I still haven't lost hope with Mason!)

@eriksensen , I was well pleased with the way we stood up to Chelsea , proofs the soft touch is gone .
yeah agree eddie, that match hurt a lot but loved the way we stood up for ourselves, never really seen that in my lifetime supporting spurs, cant wait for next season, 3 -4 decent signings im happy

I really wanted it to work out for Mason too but if we want to improve we need to aim higher.
He will provide competition for Dier and Alli, in who gets the most yellow cards cup.

Looks like if Spurs are getting Batshuayi, won't be til after the Euros. Not surprising, but puts the kibosh on those "signed and sealed and to be announced after the French Cup final" rumours...
Relevant to this article because it shows that until you see a picture of the player holding up a Spurs shirt, rumours mean fack all
