If anything, I think Klopp having a pre season with his players, and no European football to content with, will mean we can maintain our high pressing style throughout the campaign. Can't see Sturridge getting much game time anyway at the Euros, and that's still if he goes.
With one game a week and no long distance travel our players should be unaffected.
Sturridge won't be going to Euros buy he will be out injured next season regardless.
Practically every big team will have a host of players at the Euros, and gegenpressing or not, the PL is generally a high-tempo league. I'd actually say that a well-organised pressing system is efficient in terms of the results obtained vs the energy expended.
Add that Liverpool won't have European distractions to deal with, and I reckon the Euros will play more to your advantage than that of most of your rivals.
All the top players are pretty well conditioned to playing two games a week for most of the season. No big disadvantage. In fact probably having less game time will be a bigger problem. Players just sitting around with no game time are unlikely to be match fit when it comes to be thrown in. Leicester got away with it this season with very few injuries, so were able to field a lot of the same players for the entire season.
The thing is Sandy, that players need a proper off-season to give their bodies a break. Summer tournaments take too big a bite out of that time.
It's not at all unusual amongst the players involved in the business end of the club season and then the int'l tournaments for their form to suffer badly the following season.
I guess no European football will help massively, but I am expecting a few more upsets next season, due to knackered first reamers of all teams.

That is always used as an excuse. Never see any drop in form from the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Suarez, Neymar, etc, and all the other big players on the European stage, and they play regularly in Summer Tournaments.

Yes you do, Sandy. Clubs like Madrid and Barça will plan training regimes specifically to deal with these issues, planning their seasons so that their peak form coincides with the European competitions, starting the season slowly, and later dipping in Dec & Jan.
I think the intensity or the prem and la Liga are completely different.
Nonsense, somebody has to win the Prem, and that usually means it is a team filled with players that have played in Summer Tournaments. Not saying some players don`t get knackered, but the majority are just fine. I don`t get all this burn out shiiiiittttte, sorry, but it just does not wear with me. If players are so fecked why are they happy to play in these summer tournaments then, they could just all pull out.

The European competitions start in September, and your not telling me clubs like Real and Barca don`t take the CL seriously from the off. They do. None of the big clubs in any of the top European leagues usually start off slowly, they go for it from the off, that is why a lot of the leagues over practically over by March.
Sandy's know about footy as much as my dog.
I agree with Ioag. Spurs had to give up the EL hence the embarrassing white flag against Dortmund do that they focus their energies in winning the league. Even this didn't stop them feck up the league title.
The fact that a lot of teams rotate before and/or after a midweek game show that it does have an effect. It's up for debate how much as there has been a study on the teams after European games and it hasn't had as much effect as first thought. Liverpool seem to be the team most effected according to the study.

Yes, European season starts in September. Domestic leagues start a couple of weeks earlier; it's an important gap. Also worth noting that the Spanish season starts later than the PL, meaning they do indeed get more time off after the int'l summer tournaments than your players.
In the early weeks of the season, the players you named are nowhere near their peak form, and neither are they in early September tbh. Take any of the recent European Super Cups, it's plain to see that they're nowhere near their peak form.
As you mentioned though, these are -generally speaking- the absolute best of the best players and teams in world football. They'll still win most matches even when they're not at the absolute top of their games.

Did you watch the Champions league final, half the players could hardly walk towards the end of it. That's because they have just played a full season and their bodies are knackered.

I did actually watch the Cl final, first CL match I have watched all season, and was not overly impressed. Real were very poor, and Atletico had a lot of possession without looking like scoring.
The players didn`t look too knackered when they went up to get their medals or dancing about on an open top bus this morning.
