doom and gloom,
doom and gloom.
Its the end of the season you have to worry about not the first 4 or 5 games.
Reading that the longest serving manager in the Championship at the moment is McCarthy at Ipswich who was appointed 3.5 years ago, second is Grayson at Preston and third is our Kenny. 4th is Rowett at Blues who has only been there since October 2014
They don't last long in this division do they!

It's all about getting off to a good start. Where you are after the first few weeks affects the mentality of the players. Anyway, if we got relegated, you'd enjoy Division 3 again.

In butes world muppet is a good manager.

Have we ever finished above him? Has any manager since come close to emulating what he did with Wolves? Take your time answering

If emulating micks mediocre achievements is our aim then we may as well just pack up and go home.
Being the best wolves have had in 35 years in small fry when you consider how many clubs have achieved more, even in the last ten years.
We can't affect other clubs. The context is how perform within our own club, and in that respect you're right about being the best in 36 years. Prem certainly preferable to divs 2 and 3.
And if winning the Championship in style is "mediocre", let's do it again - sooner rather than later! I'm sure the fans would enjoy it.

Can't speak for anyone else but personally I don't care how we get out of the champo so long as we do.
The real challenge is the premier league.
You may wish to celebrate a 15th place being our best in 35 years or more, I personally just get peed off thinking crap like Charlton and Pompey have achieved better in that time along with 34 other clubs the last 15-20 years, not even thinking about the 80s and 90s.

15th in the premier league doesn't mean winning most games so it's not something the fickle ones will eulogise about. Their dream is that we go down to the West Midlands league and then go through the season unbeaten. Now that would beat anything in the last 35 years by a mile

He's actually the best in your lifetime as a football fan. If he isn't, then name the one manager since you started supporting Wolves that was more successful.
I think most fans dream is that we become an established top flight side, not one that battles relegation year in year out.
Or failing that, at least have a good season we can look back on as some sort of achievement, top ten isn't out of reach as many clubs of our stature have shown.

Maybe you didn't word the question very well.
"The best in a lifetime" just proves how bad we have been and how the club has failed miserably on the pitch.
Wolves have been largely hopeless since 1983.
We have as much right to call ourselves a big club as Brighton and Huddersfield do.
Once people humble themselves to the facts, perhaps they can enjoy the game for what it is and stop bloody moaning.
