You can level a lot of criticism at AW, but you can't accuse him of only ever signing striker who've reached their full potential.

From Kanu to Henry to Van Persie, through loads of others who fell short like Bendy, Ade, Vela & co., plus the inevitable total flops, he's taken plenty of risks on young strikers based on their potential.

There is a difference between going for players who are good and have great chance to reach their potential such as PEA, Morata, (Look at Dortmund and Ath Madrid's striker finds) and a player with no experience playing at top level, little talent to tell if he will ever make it.

Its not about hindsight its about taking calculated risk that is what he is in management for..

Even a 10 year old knows a player with certain attributes and track record will have higher chances of succeeding than someone like Sanogo ffs
